I will not support battle passes. You are paying for the opportunity to unlock microtransactions. Also FOMO.
Maybe if you put a portion of the proceeds in a prize pool for race events I might consider it. Like what SC2 did with War Chests. Just don't cap it. |

I spend more money than I should and I'm not turned off at the idea of battlepasses in game but there's no reason for me to support this. It's way too expensive and I'll never get my money's worth out of it.

This is thoroughly underwhelming. I hope this is a one-off that we never have to see again. Not a fan of the icon in the Atlas, either.

Just to clarify.
If someone want everything in poe, the man needs to be in the .01% of people that can afford this kind of privilege If you want all the "limited mtx" packs per year, you need $720 from league supporter packs $480 from year expansion supporter pack $120 from kirac vault season pass Thats make a total of $1320 In my country thats a total of $26800.00 mx pesos. If the averange salary per month of a person in my country is $450 dollars per month. You spect us to give you 2 and a half months of the salary per year... Im just sad, that i can't afford half of the things i want it cuz i need more importants things to buy. I bought some when i can but your mtx system is just to elitist and depredative and makes me feel like i can't have the best things in game just cuz i live in a third world country with a not so good economy. So, nice system, but bad implementation imo. If this pass cost 10 bucks, i probably buy it every league, but with this, i think i will never bought it. |

I just wanted to give a real-world person take on this... because there's a LOT of astroturfing here and kids w/o real lives complaining they can't afford to buy a completely useless / purely visual virtual item that makes their PoE barbie doll look different.
I think this is great! I love limited time unique obtainables that let you look back at a time with nostalgia - this will remind me "oh remember how good siege of the atlas was!? some of the best PoE has ever been". I feel keeping it timed exclusive gives it value, it's only for those who ACTUALLY play the game and enjoy it (unlike most of the people in this post who literally have 0-3 challenges and a level 1-10 character, many with literally 1 forum post - though I can't comment there since I rarely post myself). As for the monetary side, honestly I don't mind but I've got a life, I earn money, $30 to support a game that hasn't ever demanded a cent from me is fine - I can afford this. Hell, I'd happily be open to even MORE expensive but more in-depth MTX (I'd love a passive-tree like unlockable MTX set that's customised by the tree points you spend into it - so no single account can have the exact same as everyone else has) - I'd keep the cap at probaby $50 though (assuming these don't happen more than once or twice a year) Keep up the good work GGG, PoE is still the best value proposition I've seen in any game (at most for QoL purposes you need to spend $10 on some tabs, and ONLY if you want to). Hopefully you can filter through all the raging haters, and not let them discourage you from more awesome MTX options in the future <3 |
