What Happened with Items

I like this direction. Inflation and powercreep in PoE was at a sick level. As long as there is no AH only external trading system it makes sense. I stopped playing in the league when to buy something, you have to write up to 10+ people each time because everyone in the ass is selling something which is worth little because everyone has so much currency. What happened in this league is the best for PoE. Thanks! Do not be manipulated by a crying baby.

These changes will make the game easier to exploit. I doubt this will be good for the in-game economy.

TLDR: We aren't going to do anything because i've seen people get mirrors and 50 divine orbs from one mob. - Chris

So now we should be expected to play 12 hours a day, every day, in order to win the lottery and see a drop that people haven't seen in the entirety of 10 leagues, or get extremely lucky and have a character fortunate enough to actually be able to kill a juiced monster for a couple of divine drops?

1) I've played probably 8 leagues or so and have never seen a mirror.
2) Most players have to skip AN mobs because of how overpowered and unrewarding they are on average, so making us kill them all, all the time, or lose all our portals trying, for the 0.0000000001% drop rate chance to get multiple worthwhile currency items is your fing solution?

After reading this I consider moving to Diablo, just revert the game to how it was before rarity/quantity patches. Remove this "harmless" culling system and fix harvest, then the community will be happy. Otherwise in my opinion your explanation sounds like: I just put a gun shot to my leg, why can't I run now?
It feels good to know you accepted that you did shit, but dear Chris "Get your magic find characters ready.", really? Go do some mapping with a low budget MF in a white tier map, then speak to the community. The game feels like shit now it's nothing compared to what it was. TL;DR it's slow! you trained your whole community to be fast with timed league mechanics and now you are spitting in our face with an explanation and some numbers. You can't understand the frustration of going in a t16 you slapped with alchemy, then you see the beyond roll that you cant reroll because from 3 maps you drop 1-3 chaos/alchemy/scouring orbs and
you decide it's better to save them and then comes the best part - when you kill some mobs a swarm of white mobs comes out and it's kill or be killed situation. Scourge white mobs did a fucking one shot to my suppression/resistance capped char with 68% phys red, then I said, no this shouldn't be like that, so I got to standard doing some very juiced t16 maps and guess what? No loot, also got some off screen one shots. Then I transitioned to MF in league. And guess what? Again no loot buddy. My irl friends saw how frustrated I was and they bought me Diablo, so this is a goodbye Chris. We will see when you make the game fun again, get your shit together and do some real changes.
So running out of alchemy orbs was just in my head...okay, got it.
I'm no PoE pro by any means, and I think this league is going fine, especially with the Lake buffs. Just got out a divine out of a diff 10 chest (:
This post is so sad and bad man. ZZZZZZZ hurts to see a game I enjoy so much going down this path to becoming a dead game. Idk where you are getting your info on loot but after like 12 hours today it still feels like shit and I still get fucking wrecked by Harbingers, some essence mobs and some rogue exiles (They seem to be either White mob difficulty or fucking 4 uber bosses with 500% MS shitting on anything in there path).

Also this comment is so upsetting,
"3. A rebalance of Archnemesis Modifiers to account for the fact that rare monsters now have multiple modifiers more frequently. This step was not performed until after release feedback came in. It was not deemed necessary at the time, and required extensive community feedback before we did it. This was a mistake and we should not have been so stubborn about it."

Like we had issues with Archnem mods before?????? You nerfed it a few times. Then add it again and same shit different league.

The video of Ghazzytv saying he brought up issues with Minions prior to launch and the GGG staff telling him "it was play tested and was fine" is actually so fucking sad. Because it was either a straight up lie to one of your most loyal and committed players or your play testers are rocking 10 mirror builds for "play testing" cause minions have so many issues that Ghazzytv pointed out prior to launch and was told woudln't be the issue but here we are, with 90+% of what he said being an issue.

Anyways love the game, hate the direction it's headed in. </3 hope it gets fixed. Hope the lies and shady shit stops and hopefully the community learns from all this BS, and hopefully GGG does too. Praying for changes (that actually matter not the BS we have been fed the last 4 days) soon. Sad I took off a week to play the game I love and probably lost a few years of my life due to all the stress and pent up anger from this launch lol. GG's
What I love in PoE is that you have the guts to say - we are sorry. And explain to the community what you did wrong, why and how you are going to tackle it. I respect that very much.
The drop rate does not feel good. I don't know what math you're using, of course, but it seems to have extreme variance. I'll kill several rares (even on the Lake) in a row that drop absolutely nothing, then one will explode with a semi-decent drop. I have opened so many strong boxes (of all flavors) that drop nothing. I killed Doedre in act 4, and got nothing.

It feels like the table was shifted down to expose a large expanse of nothing at the bottom of the range, and then the variance was widened to allow spiking up to the good sections of the table, but most rolls are empty and it feels unrewarding.

Especially in a game like POE where rares can be the best things in the game, but most are garbage, you need a higher drop rate so that we have the chance to find a decent rare. Currency feels better now, but items feels more like playing a post apocalyptic garbage picker, than the D2 style lootsplosions that were the origin of the game.

Heck I can't even find decent bases with sockets to try my plethora of essences on.

The game is playable, but the feel is off.

I do personally really like the lake mechanic, and I'm enjoying playing, but all the empty rares and loot boxes are a strongly discordant note.

You have to remember that even if the math says the drops are appropriate player experience is Bayesian, and too long a null chain anchors perception. Plus, we play to find things ourselves, not to watch a streamer hit the lottery.
