How I see it, it will be healthy for myself to not spend money or keep on playing during this league as it has left a sour taste in my mouth.
I acknowledge your apology, you guys messed up big time but I would rather spend my time and money somewhere else for now. Still no explanation why you guys felt the need to kill Harvest, adding the currency would have been great but the need to kill certain crafting stuff from Harvest made a crafter's life a living hell and just add annoying, unnecessary pain to crafting. |

Alright. This unfortunately killed my will to further play this league.
Loot is not in a good state. I'm well into endgame (full atlas, winter orb mapping character) and it just doesn't feel rewarding. I'm not going to invest more time in this game for the 0.01% chance to find a mob that drops me 50 divines or a t0 unique. And I no-lifed this league so far... The 3 reasons i'm quitting now are: 1. Doubling down on the state, that item drops are good. 2. Harvest nerfs (reforge pref/suff, more common crafts, ...) + no communication about this change. 3. There's rumours about a tool, that can tell you, if there's a solaris-touched monster in the map. I'm pretty certain, that you'll find a way to make this game fun again in the future. But this league ain't it, chief. "The most unsatisfying thing that can happen is ending a play session without the feeling of having progressed or generated something of significance." I play too casually to have any particularly strong opinion about the changes or to have useful feedback to give but the community behavior makes me worried about the future of the game, they have never reacted this way to any change in the past so there must be a reason. I hope things are resolved soon for the sake of everybody involved (ggg, current playerbase and potential future newcomers). I'm sure nothing of this comes from bad intentions from ggg, after all it's in their best interest that the players are happy with the state of the game. So please keep pushing with the reasonable and costructive feedback, and give them a chance to fix things before quitting.

“Here’s our philosophy……… I forgot to prod read.” Hey Chris the time it woulda took you to read the patch notes is about a quarter of the time it takes me to kill a 4 mod monster for a wisdom scroll. Love path and ggg for the most part but this post is a big fk you. You have everything on fire and rather then put it out, you’re commenting on how the warmth feels good. All you need to know is week one people going to play d3………. Goddamm you guys fked up

I am Russian. By the way, this post has not yet been posted on our server. Even the post about weakening the rare mobs has not yet been posted (this is the attitude towards the Ru community).
There are so many cool and practical tips in this post, so many good suggestions and the right questions. But ggg does not hear them or does not want to hear them. Only leaving the league, as some TOP-streamers did and stopping donations, apparently, can make them REALLY hear the people for whom the game is being made. Or is it not made for them? :-))) Harvest (Жатва) - лучшее, что когда-либо случалось с ПОЕ. F*ck 3.14!

Oh man you just keep going at it with these unnerving posts...this block of text is either a straight up shameless lie or idk what to say anymore.
Explanations and excuses on top of each other, but your actions always speak differently. MAYBE (I highly, highly doubt it but maybe) you had no idea how bad this would be for the game. Ok, fine, not the first time something like this has happened. But if you've been reading community posts and listening to streamers (who are some of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to POE mechanics), by now you should have a very clear picture of what the problem is and how bad it is. Flat point out - nothing is fixed, the game is just a giant water tank filled with patched holes that are gonna burst any minute now. Stop patching, start fixing. Assuming there's a 1% of truth to your post - you have received TONS of feedback from all directions. Barely any of that feedback was touched upon or addressed. The least you could do is answer our questions. 1. Archnemesis - people hate it. Still shoved down our throats when engaging with it should be a choice. People who like it can continue to engage with it just fine. Why are you making us interact with something we hate? 2. Loot - I'm not repeating what's been said so many times. Loot's not fixed. And no, I don't mean for Empy and his group, or 6man MF culler parties. I mean for everyone. "Regular" players are very much affected, and purposefully insisting they are not when there is so much feedback coming from regular players is insulting at this point. 3. Harvest - no explanation, no plans to fix, nothing. The mechanic is good now, but it's useless since most crafts are useless. 4. Minion builds - I don't play them but I have friends who do, clearly Necro is in a bad spot, anything you gonna do about that? And there are other topics too, but what's the point since you don't seem to read them anyway... If you wanna go big balls, just tell the truth - that you don't care about the majority of your players and want to be stuck with the 40k minority that's supportive of these changes and the "vision". That would honestly be fine - I wouldn't even be mad. At least it would be less embarassing than...this. |

So many whiney players, so sad about the game not being in a perfect state for less than a week after releasing some of the most ambitious changes to the game that have ever been made. They should go get some sun for a couple days and then come back once they've calmed down.
I expect the excitement of bringing these changes to the players led to a larger scope of development than was healthy. But meanwhile, these players come up with conspiracy theories of maliciousness and act like you're taking away an accidentally broken toy from a 4 year old for 5 minutes to fix it, and the 4 year old is like, "I hate you! You broke it on purpose, I'm never getting it back!" Meanwhile, they still have end-game viable items by 48 hours after league launch... It seemed obvious to me that the huge portion of all this was just that the loot system didn't get playtested well enough. That type of thing happens occasionally - nobody and no company is perfect. GGG has always been very quick to address issues like this in the past, and I knew that's what would happen, so I continued to play through it all and progress my character. The game since the fixes feels pretty great now for the most part. I think there are still some things that could use tuning, like Harvest, and I believe that those will also be addressed in the coming week or two. Maybe having more variability in the amount of life force that can drop (so that you can have cases of feeling like you won the lottery when thousands of life force drop, instead of feeling like you'll be grinding for a few hundred each harvest to save up until you can afford the one expensive craft you want), and maybe even adding back some of the crafts that were removed. Anyway, the new league has been fun so far and I look forward to fully exploring it as the kinks get worked out. Thanks! |

Good job Chris and GGG, keep up the good stuff and i am excited for poe 2!
Ok some things needed a patch, but everybody was able to play and a lot to enjoy the game on release with the league mechanic being a bit lackluster with it's rewards. Still a very good release of new content. Map progession was not an issue for me anyway. There is a guy named Kirac in the game, dunno why people claimed they can't progess due to map drops, that was not my experience playing maps on day two. ... Not everybody likes the changes, but GGG does not owe anybody a source of income via endgame crafting content on the internet for example... Some Players(content creators) are spoiled und ungrateful mostly. There could have been some argument in a more constructive way that some things needed a patch very much, instead of Drama and personal stuff and rallying viewers... |
