Lag spikes since 3.20
Seems to be instance based. Some maps no issue some shoot to 100k+ MS then I need to just exit out or back out to character screen then back in and its gone. Running Sanctum and most floors no issue then random ones spikes up.

As much as others keep saying it's not, it's pointing to a GGG issue. Although the other people keep saying it's an ISP issue(Which it is in some cases), that's not always the reason. We wont know 100% though until GGG does internal testing to see if packets are being dropped or "Lost".
From my testing, there's no packet loss, but for some reason it's requesting packets that it already acknowledged. Usually when a packet is lost, it'll request it and then continue down the line, however in this instance it's acting like it has dementia and is forgetting it received a packet, which then causes a congestion and that 5k ms latency you keep seeing until it either restarts the connection or "Crashes". What's strange though is that if you use a logout macro to cut the connection and then try to log back in, the issue will still persist. Which means that even though you disconnected, the connection is still live and requesting that same packet from you and will not continue until it realizes the problem. Wireshark & WinMTR were used live to make sure my ISP and I were not losing packets. |

Same issue here, the game was fine for every other day I played this league and suddenly the last couple of days have been basically unplayable as a result.

I found a VPN as a solution for me.
ExpressVPN is for gaming and it works perfectly. It's amazing. VPN enabled on PC, connected to London or another server, and let the game automatically select the gateway. I don't have a single stutter anymore, the game runs consistently with 40ms latency and everything is fine. Yes, it costs money but it's worth it to me! |

Sounds like youre trying to sell a VPN when most of us are saying its not our internet lol.

Been a problem for me for multiple leagues now, been told that it's an ISP problem and that i need to talk to them to fix it, which turned out to be false.
Definitely a problem on PoE's side. |

I guess I'm coming late to the party. Mine just started out of nowhere. Two nights ago on my laptop, fine. Yesterday on my desktop, fine.
Last night at about midnight I started getting 2-3 second lags a few times a minute. I figured maybe my laptop, which is under a year old, was crapping the bed. Nope, this morning I get up and same thing on my desktop. Every other interwebs application is sailing. Someone mentioned using predictive networking mode which seems to lessen the pain. I can still see the spikes but they don't lock my in place for 3 seconds. But the author said it didn't help for long for them so who knows. " Last edited by DoshLord#7955 on Jan 5, 2023, 1:15:00 PM

Had these Spikes the whole league. Just did my first Elderslayer Invitation and lost all my loot because I died on my last portal to one of those lag spikes... And yes 4 other portals where gone because of them too... Im so pissed right now!
Im the only one of my friends with these problems, but its only present in poe. Its definitly not a problem on my side! Tried everything, nothing helps! |
