GGG devs played diablo2 and had fun talking about it with other people.
confusing the social talk with gameplay.
Then GGG tries to bring the fun of d2 to poe1 and poe2 trough basic ruthless mechanics.

Tedious, slow, nothing drop to create the HYPE drop reward for an upgrade.
I dont think chris wilson ever stopped to think about, is that what our audience actually want our old fun?

Gear isnt the hype with poe1.
Its the build action.
GGG apperantly do not understand that, jonathan rogers does not for sure.

The atlas passives changes are MASSIVE changes to the endgame experience you can craft for yourself. People are just so blindsided my the % amount of text that was ruthless specific. If you read those ruthless changes, they were basically just deleting stuff from the ascendencies, barely any changes per say.

You can focus on 1) TotA content 2) Sanctum content 3) massive atlas passive endgame changes 4) new support gem changes to the current skill lineup

or ...

You can be bull taunted by the piece of red cloth that is the ruthless changes that don't impact you anyway, whiling using the "but Chris said, waaaaa, I'm afraid of the future waaaa" BS that everyone using as their hill to die on.

Choice is yours ;)

You've played D4? It's slow, it sucks. It sucks for lots of reason to be fair, but it being mega slow is a decent part of the problem.

On the flip side, Ruthless isn't taking away from anything from the regular challenge league, and why would it. They know a small percent of the population play it. It was literally just a few tweak that if you really look at it you'll understand that they didn't take much effort.

Negativity is just much more attractive to human's, and I'm not exception. Fuck Ruthless, but objectively, it took little effort or time to make those changes; amd they've already said multiple times and have shown now at Econ that the teams are completely separate from one another. Deep breath's everyone. It's not as serious as the screaming crowd are making it out to be.

The games are going to be separate now for people who feel exactly like you do. They will let PoE1 get really completely out of hand with crazy builds and over tuned skills and keep PoE2 for people who want more of a challenge.

Not to say PoE won't still get quality updates, but they won't focus on power creep as much anymore I'd be willing to bet. And PoE2 will be faster than the playthrough we all saw. They 100% kept is slow on purpose, Little to no move speed on boots, no move speed skills, just nothing to speed it up. It will be completely fine in the end for everyone.

Literally all of us win in the end, it's the best possible outcome imo.
