Trial of Ancestors going core?

I hope the items go to the core drop pool. I don't care about the mechanic and tatoos are just blatant powercreep, not something this game needs more of.
I personaly hate everything gameplay and balance wise about Trials, but i love tatoos and omens, and i hope GGG will keep these items in the future.

STUPID BEAST
I feel the balance is quite weak.

Either the tattoos are useless or completely overpowered (+2 projectiles combo) and there is almost no inbetween.

Same with the army you fight. Either a total joke or a complete uphill slog while your allies melt.

Meh.

Most of the tattoos are not pure powercreep. Additional MRE, block and most of the small passives just give enough to reach certain breakpoints to round out builds. They can dismiss Hinekoras Lock, all the larger tattoos and they would still be a huge improvememt for build customization.

I think they should make all Tattoos core. Especially Keystone Tattoos give unique build opportunities. Hinekora Locks are very nice and should be expensive i need them to corrupt my belts some day.
Tattoos and the mechanic itself should absolutely go core.

Tattoos - because they bring a lot of flexibility to the character building. They can tune down a bit the most overpowered of them. But the idea of replacement regular attribute nodes should definetily stay.

League mechanic - because it's something new. I know that some people hate it, but some people actually love it. With a bit of balancing it'll take it's rightful place amongst other mechanics.
Curiosity is followed by ambition. Ambition is followed by madness.
The league Mechanic can go in the trash as far as I am concerned. Its a loot pinata that we do not need in the game and it has other problems that mess with the core game loop, like the infinite xp gain. Sure some people claim to love the mechanic but lets be honest, if it was any less profitable or you could lose xp no one would like it. Tatoo's are nice but if they were any less obtainable then they are just not worth the effort outside of the extra projectile's one.

I would do trial's pretty often if it offered flat zero reward.

I play Slay the Spire and it gives me flat squat. It's a game, the reward should be the fun in doing the thing. If the thing isn't fun, the game isn't good (at least for you), and you should put it down.

Also it strikes me odd that a community that normaly rages that the league offers nothing, or that items are too rare now complains that something pays out too well.

(In my experience I don't feel I get more currency or items in trial than anything else. Blight, Beyond and just quality mapping feels to pay more out to me, but that might be a large part experience and that I can put the weight of the Altas passives behind them).

Thats fair, it is a fun little mini game on its own.

For me in Hardcore SSF the character I have been doing the mechanic with will reach 100 soon, it will be the first lvl 100 for me I should be happy about it. The reason I am not is the character has never seen a map and should have died and gone to standard 100 times over. It is literally game breaking for me that it is allowed to live and endlessly farm currency and items from the mechanic with 0 chance of dying and still gain xp.
I really hope it disappears and stays away.

This and Sanctum are just not well aligned to the core game of PoE. While some players like the change of pace, there's also a large proportion of players that absolutely hate it because it's just not what they came to Wraeclast to do. The same way that GGG borked Heist to begin with by completely screwing over minion builds with their daft stealth mechanic.

If it's a side game that people can play for something different then that's fine. But when GGG place specific loot only in these mechanics (Lab, Sanctum, Trials) which forces players to engage with a mechanic they don't enjoy, then that's bad design.

If they managed it like Fossils, where I can obtain them just by playing the game and not having to engage with the mechanic then that's OK. Before it's suggested, I also hate trade in this game. I don't want to buy my way to a win, I just want to play the game.
