Can't do sanctum...30min with nothing to show for it (guess my builds is wrong)
Can't do trials...30min with maybe ~20-40c to show for (also wrong build apparently)
Can't do ubers...unless I have a)gear b)the "correct build" c)play the whole entire season to finally enjoy the game?!

Maybe it's just this season or something, feels diff, hard to enjoy it as a GAME. Logging in feels like work/2nd job.

Sorry OP, but PoE is a gringy MMO in a skin of aRPG with resetting leagues. It's meant to hook up people that are addicted to this, instead to be "fun game for casuals".

Not sure why you use lower-case a in ARPG. Too little action for you?
Not sure what reason you can give for why PoE should be considered an MMO instead of an ARPG other than "it's online" or "you can trade"
Not sure how you think "grindy" is a gotcha when the company making the game is literally called Grinding Gear Games (lol)
And yeah, games are designed to be fun. Path of Exile is a forever game as described by Chris Wilson himself..

Grim Dawn v1.2 is coming on Nov 16. Huge patch, free content, qol, etc.

GD has become imho on par, if not the superior ARPG of all time. Give it a try if you haven't. PoE is a sinking game due to PoE2 influence.

I dunno about that.

I do think GD is really good but compared to the speed and burst that PoE has, I kinda struggle to get going how slow GD feels to play. And I'm not even in the cult of speed.

Skills there also feel way more limited in comparison, even if the majority of skills in PoE are unviable.

They both have their upsides in my opinion but I'm holding off on both games to update/league change before digging into them.

I'll say this though, GD having a way easier time of resetting a character makes it so it's easy to either undo mistakes or just entirely shift your build makes it easier on my "I'm just gonna wing it" play style.

Part of why GD feels slower to play is the zoomed out camera. Every time I switch between the two games I have to readjust lmao.

There's a new DLC on the way adding a whole new class, probably coming out in a year's time, and if you can't wait I cannot recommend the various mods like ROT or the Community one enough

maybe try doing the normal content lol? mapping? u can make a fuckton of money form just mapping, ubers is the ultimate challenge and dosnt even make you good money unless u can speed farm them. tota needs a build but even without one u can make decent money. both tota and sanctum is build dependant more so than the normal content which is mapping. if you are a casual, do mapping, delve, heists. the game has so much to do other than tota sanctum and ubers lol. ubers is literally the hardest content. do mapping, pick an encounter u enjoy and farm that. i make all my money from mapping, i was able to get a mageblood with 3 days of mapping doing rifts and expedition. i had very very good gear though. do mapping, pick an encounter, invest in the maps ( compasses, quantity etc) and you will have more than enough money very fast.if u dont like mapping, theres delve, heists. theres alot to do even with shit gear.

I have gone through several farming guides and everything no longer works or has very poor results in standard legue.
and with more than 200% quant and 200% rarity in rare t16 maps with deadly Eater of the Worlds debuffs I would expect reasonable drops. I also have deli portal in every second map and I have ritual altar in almost every map. you can only laugh at the epics drops. Pimped cluster jewels also sell extremely rarely for the lowest price. Hardly anyone wants the mats with the lowest price.
only things like "forbidden tome" lvl 83 and "Screaming Invitation" sell fast enough.

So what the hell are you supposed to farm there?
I also tried farming with good scarabs and map reception with adjusted atlas skills. there is also a huge lottery. I can hardly get the mats back or have to wait for days or even weeks for trade.

So causal players don't even need to install the game. absolutely pointless.
In Warframe, 1-2 hours a day are well spent and a very chill way to pass the time after work. and playing is fun and I don't have a ridiculous 10 fps in big fights.

"Standard League"
All the money making guides are for Temporary Leagues as the value of items aren't effected by years worth of inflation. Temporary Leagues are long enough that you shouldn't have a problem playing casually.

If I remember correctly from when they discussed player distribution years back around 20% or less of the player base plays Standard during Temp Leagues. This means a smaller market to actually trade with.

literally nobody plays on standard. I know shit ton of people playing poe and I have NEVER seen a single person actually playing there. the way things work in standard isn't a metric for anything
I know of at least one person playing on Standard, so that statement is factually incorrect.
