Game for trade scammers.
" Cause most of all bots share all the same roof and they won't buy out their own listed stuff. Go jump on any game with a existing large market and search for some random items and you will see all the price fixed listings. Buy it out and see how fast it gets replaced by a new price fix item. List the item for the same or lower value and see how fast it takes for them to buy it out. I've played a lot of games with a auction house in the past, and all had the same issue. Or they do it the way Phrazz mentioned, and buy out everything and pretty much price fix items by selling stuff for a way higher value. First method is more a thing for all the small items and stuff, which still wins the bots a tons of profit over time. Later method is more for the valuable items, lets say mirrors, HH or mbs. Something with a lower quantity on the market. Just to give you a taste of that, a few leagues ago the upper end of tft ended up monopolized mirrors and some essential beasts for high tier crafting entirely and that without a auction house. So imagine the fun if bots get to do that pretty much instantly at any giving time they want with any giving item. The market would just collapse and feel even worse as it already is. At least in the current state you can do something against bots on your own by not selling shit to bots. Is that going to fix the bot issue? No, but it for sure would help quite a bit if more people would do the same. Tft and so many other players would have less benefits out of their bots as they are suddenly less lucrative over the time and that alone would help the market heavily. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid on Sep 30, 2023, 5:07:50 PM

So what you are trying to say is that all bots have the same code and will only focus on buying stuff that is not listed by another bot which they can recognize via the code? Sorry, I don't get it, nothing like this happened in D3 which already had a built-in real money trading. Everything was reasonably priced and no item/gold market was cornered by bots.

Cause once again, what did D3 had? Few gems, some unique items but overall nothing in a very large quantity or something you can profit out of it. You did buy your item once and you were done with it since there's no crafting, progression or what so ever in D3. The demand of items is/was just non existent.
But yet they shut down the auction house because of rmt abuse, and guess what most bots in PoE are also just used for rmt purposes and nothing else. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid on Sep 30, 2023, 5:12:01 PM

bots already own the economy.

" So we are enduring the awful trade system for no reason since people like this control everything anyway. We currently have all the downsides, with none of the benefits. General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.

Adding Auction House to PoE would literally flip the market on its head. "Pay more for bulk" would not be a thing anymore, if anything you would put items for cheaper if you have a lot of it otherwise you wouldnt be able to sell it all.

I calmed down and I have a simple solution to fix such cases. Create a color for messages from a trade so that the player cannot repeat it with a regular message, this way the player will understand that the message is generated exclusively by the site and an error is possible only in the position itself, so scammers will not be able to imitate the trade message.
