League is Boring / Unrewarding
" Casuals can make tens of divines every day if they just wanted. You can farm T1-4 maps, w/o using Affliction mechanic and make like 5 divines per hour. You can make even more by literally sitting in hideout and trading. This league I was making around 10 divines/h by watching something on my 2nd monitor and just trading things from time to time. You can double it if you would fully focus on it. Its not game problem. Its "casual mentality" problem. People are used to have everything given to them on silver plate. PoE is not like that. PoE rewards your for your experience/knowledge and that knowldge is easily obtainable from hundreds of guides that are out there on the internet. Stop being stubborn, start learning. There is no excuse here, only lazyness. Last edited by Aynix on Dec 23, 2023, 6:48:25 AM

" Oh, here we go about the "divine/hour". That's the problem with PoE nowadays, everything's about that, and that's exactly what I'm criticizing. Some years ago PoE was about enjoying the game as it is. Nowadays everything's about "how many divines an hour I can make by repeatedly doing stuff I don't like?". And the problem about this mentality is that it ramped up prices. Back in 2016, you could easily stay out of it and enjoy your game, mapping, dropping rares and selling it if you wanted to. If you didn't, you could still do all the stuff, all the challenges, without ever setting foot on trade. Now you have some achievements that are based on hundreds of hours of gaming. P.s.: And just in case, you forgot to tell that in order to make that you have to sit on 3rd-party tools or even non-official Discord servers. :/ ♣ IGN: DoctaMagicFinder ♣ My YouTube channel: youtube.com/doctagaming ♠ Proud brazilian player. Prices are ramped because rewards are ramped. If we can easily make 3 times more than few years ago, ofc prices will be 3 times higher.
Its not rocket science. Last time I checked a lot of people are still playing SSF and they dont seem to have any problems w/o trade. Once again, you problem, not game problem. People are stuck in 2016 when the game was breainless easy. back in the days all you had to do is get max res, get some life on gear and you are good to go. Its not the case anymore and Im glad it is not. You need to stop thinking "how it was back then" and instead thinking how it is now and how you should adapt. " I didnt forget it. Everyone who plays PoE knows that in order to make most money from trading, TFT is the best place. Its literally flipper heaven. But its just one of hundreds ways of making money in this game and no one forces you to use it. Last edited by Aynix on Dec 23, 2023, 7:29:07 AM

'Meta gaming' as in using the optimal strategies is a very common thing in online games. If you think people back in the 3.x leagues were not optimizing the hell out of their mapping you are sorely mistaken.
Fact of the matter is that the mentality was always there, but today we have more tools and the difference between casual alch&go and endgame mapping strategies has widened significantly. You should do what you enjoy. If you like juicing up your maps then do that. If you just wanna do your own thing then do that. Stop treating Path of Exile like it's a job! The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

The thing is, people who complain about it make way less money than even "alch&go" runner because they are stuck in 2016, thinking they money is in raw currency drops and big drops. Even by running alch&go you can easily raliably make enough currenvy to consider 50 divines build a "normal thing".
Those people just dont know how to make money, because its much diffrent than it was in the past. | |
True that, and they'd rather complain on the forums than adapt or learn new strategies from other people. It's like they'd have to acknowledge they're behind on this stuff and too embarassed to admit it? I'm not sure this is necessarily true for everyone, some just don't know and don't want to know apparently
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Man people talking in div/h im happy I never bothered with it.
Doing alch and go in t16 with the new mechanic. Is it the way to play that will make me the most money with my dps? No but I don't care. Why am I still here

Just because someone talks about divs/h doesnt mean that person cares about min maxing. We also "dont give a shit".
People talk about divs/h because its easiest way of gauging how much you make. People bitch that "everything is in divines" and "you need 50 divines build" as that number is something unreachable for "casuals". To them I say you can easily make 5 div/h, or more, doing white maps on starting gear. If 10h of grind is too much for you to get well working, all around build, then its not the game for you. Diablo 4 is waiting. Last edited by Aynix on Dec 23, 2023, 1:54:14 PM

Welp there's egg on my face. Switched over to MF (53 quant base, 232 rarity base, plus divination distillate which is up most of the time) and Wandering Path. First map dropped over 1,000 uniques and had to grab someone's ultra strict filter to even see anything. Second map got a Dark Gift in the woods (+200% quant, +200% rarity) and dropped a mirror...first one in 100,000,000 hours /played. Uh yeah so just play MF on low tier maps if you're not rich. I didn't even get any of the good loot from Abyss which just wrecked my frame rate and the mobs wrecked me. This is silly loot goblin MF league. |
