There’s no point making a sequel if everything is the same. And as soon as you change some things, some people aren’t going to like those changes. That sucks a little for those particular people, but that’s life. You can’t expect artists to make art solely for you forever (unless you’ve got the millions upon millions of dollars to commission that I suppose).

Jesus, let them iterate on it. PoE drastically needs changes, it's a good game but also very flawed. PoE 2 addresses some of these flaws and they try to shake things up (which is good). It's not gonna be perfect day 1, that's why we'll have an open beta etc.

In addition the way I understand it is we'll have PoE 2 as an entirely seperate game to PoE 1 or game mode whatever, so if PoE2 takes a shit for you, there will be the OG to play still.

I'm all in for a mix of softcore/hardcore and less zoom zoom, for one I think the death penalty in sc should be way harsher and most if not all movement skills and additional sources of movement speed should be removed from path of exile, but these changes sound terrible. So far path of exile 2 merely looks like a scuffed version of lost ark, it's not even an action rpg. Some of the changes in path of exile 2 look awesome, but some are the absolute worst, so bad that I already hate the game

What will eventually happen is that boos fights will simply be ignored as soon as people have their atlas skill points.
just do normal monsters drop no loot, and the boss only spawn if you beat all the normal monsters. problem solved.

then people have to full clear the map, to defeat the boss and get loot. then you dont have to click the ground every few seconds too..


Win-Win-Win. all 3 problems solved at ones.

They actually said that about a third of the DROPS would come from the boss. A third from the boss, a third from extra content in the map, and a third from the regular monsters.

Even if it drops third of the loot, if it takes longer than third of entire map, people will skip it.
