Casuals buy those items, dont make them. You think people would use 2d on meta craft instead of buying the specific thing they need for 3 without any risk and time investments? Dont try to bend reality here. You know how vast majority of players Craft? Essence spam and slap bench craft. If you think its anything more you are delusional.

Pretty much every item outside of mirror tier are made in 2-3 steps. Buy base with fractured mod, spam essence/fossil until you hit guaranteed mod + mod you are looking, finish with bench craft (or annul if needed), you are done.
