Artificial waste of time

Stupid mouse character controls. Ok, D2 used it, it is our ancestor's ways, we will do it, our children will do it. I got the idea.

You can remap your default movement key for less strain/RSI if you mean movement with LMB.
I usually remap all ARPG movements to space as this fits me personally very well.
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

He can't. Described problem has nothing to the key map.

Prove me wrong, but a lot of things are made artificially stupidly wrong aimed to waste your time from nothing or make simple things complex:

1. Every time you die all you auras are switched off, thus making you click, click, click - stupidiest waste of time ever from nothing. Like, ok my character have died, I lost experience - it is bad. Why I need to manually activate all my skills reserving mana/life. Just why?

2. Stupid mouse character controls. Ok, D2 used it, it is our ancestor's ways, we will do it, our children will do it. I got the idea.

a) Why I need LMB to construct towers and upgrade towers in blight while using it to move and dodge puddles and stuff? Why in heist I can press V instead of LMB to start interaction with object but not with tower?

b) Simple stupid doors on maps. Why I can't press V or anything to interact with door, lever anything. Why I need to stop my character, click LMB on that object, while being projectiled, puddled, beaten etc?

I have billion useless hotkeys in options like use 3 kinds of sentinels. But no usefull keybinds?

I won't try to prove you wrong.

It's disgusting seeing all these people defend GGG QoL updates when so many time wasters in this game still exist. And the things they did change took way too long to be implemented.

Welcome to poe, if you aren't wasting your time on useless bs are you really playing the game?
Why am I still here

Got a problem how the game is? Then stop playing and dont waste time on forum. You are not "main character" here, they wont change something just because you dont like it.
I 100% agree, of course, I'm a big fan of "frictionless" and "no micromanagement" UX.

In my opinion, the optimal game design is about "lets take everything that is just annoying out and maximize the enjoyable parts", but then I remember, for example, the "trade manifesto" and realize that this is a lost cause.

Sad, but true.

All of the resources found should be automatically picked up on walking nearby and transferred to a resources stash, period. It's one of the rare things i prefer from D4 over PoE, picking up the things you find and sorting them out should not be a chore, looting should be smooth and easy and not tedious as it is. To me there's no justification whatsoever to have the tremendously backward system we have, manually picking up resources and having to manually transfer them to the stash one by one. Reducing the pointless tedious actions of a game is an improvement, not dumbing it down as GGG seems to view it.

No no no, looting should be A CHORE. It has to be so annoying and tedious to the point that people start hiding a single chaos orb / vaal orb drop, not to mention alteration etc. Market will crash in less than a month, if people have "aoe / smart" loot. ESPECIALLY if they are automatically stored in your stash tab.

Either cutting loot tremendously and implementing "aoe/smart" loot, or keep as is with alot of loot (although alot of trash) but stupidly tedious and even able to harm your health.

The game doesn't provide much more challenges beside building your character, and building your character require resources, so by making resource acquisition annoying (trade / looting) , it adds layer of "difficulty" to the game, although its artificial.
It is almost like if poe had one currency source that multiple vendors used instead an orb for every little thing poe players would have less rsi problems.

Think of gold.

Thats it. Orher games figured this out. At the end of the day how us it any different than the way the majority if the playerbase use crafting orbs.

In fact you could have vendors sell you crafting orbs.

Poe likes to add extra steps. Sometimes its good. Sometimes it isn't.

You realizse that dropping gold to buy orbs, instead dropping orbs is "adding extra step"?

You realise they didn't use gold for a reason-

right?

Can you think of any reasons yourself?
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
