New patch bricked poe on mac
I have the same problem, the patching window opens and after the 44 Mb patch finishes downloading, it crashes. I'm on a brand new Macbook with M3 chip etc so it's definitely not that.

I raised a ticket as well. I managed to capture a screenshot of an error msg that comes up. It seems to be related to development code being released to production if the error message is true and not just some random garbage being spat out.

Someone in this post references moving specific files out of a folder to allow the game to launch properly... maybe this will help:

" lil bro is suggesting to waste time on some kind of temmp band aid suggested 6 months ago lmao... GGG need to wake up and invest resources to the mac client. even when it was "working" you think capped 60 fps in hideout and 8-20 fps in maps is playable? its just disgusting. |

" Sorry I don't follow and am not sure if you're calling me "lil bro" or a reference from the other post I linked. However, the post is basically suggesting to move a folder or a couple files to force the client to update and launch properly... Regardless if this is a problem with how Mac users are launching the client or a GGG issue a workaround was provided. The "temp band-aid" you're referring to is actually referenced on a lot of reddit posts as a workaround due to an unsupported version side load launching the client on Mac. " It seems to be because they released a development pipe instead of the production pipe. I captured an error msg that came up and created a ticket in the technical issues section. I'd suggest to create a ticket in there as well. No idea what GGG support look at - here or technical section or somewhere else. The more cases the better. Auckland is at least another 5-6 hours from waking up to this. There'll be no response or resolution till at least then. Doubt they have support on 24x7. |
