I see a lot of talk from psn users being upset at as usual a bad sony take, it would be nice if GGG did allow people to take their mtx's from their sony account and merge it to their main account as a one time thing even if it required them no longer have access to it on the psn, but I'm pretty sure with sony's terms they can't even allow us to get items we acquired on that platform on another free otherwise they would lose the ability to be published on psn possibly.

Either way guys don't blame GGG this is a sony issue and their fun cross platform hating

If I have upgraded all my free tabs to premium tabs will that mean I have no shared stash space between PS5 and PC or will i just not have acces to the premium functionality on PS5?

GGG and sony need to solve the issue with microtransaction use on both platforms.

it will be a bigger issue (angry people, confusion, "they stole my money") then the cost of the solution.

in a sense, cant GGG just scan what they have in the sony account, then as a one time deal give that for free to that user, and then force that account to only use the account with the complete set? this also include transfareing over characters.

yes there will be the issue with people buying sony account and connecting to get some skins, but the lashback of the utter confusion that will effect all users from the general public instead of the few people that going to exploit it.

consider this longterm please, even if this comment is going to be drowned, this will be a negative spin that some people might catch and go with. is the risk worth it?

The problem isn't one to solve.

This is quite literally Sony saying NO we don't want to allow cross platform MTX because we feel that it would cost us money.
This is part of the negotiations on publishing on the platform, how revenue from MTX bought on the platform are divided.
And what it looks like for sony is we have all these players (potentially hundreds of thousands) wanting to merge and use our platform but they want to use millions of dollars of MTX bought elsewhere over with them and we get jack shit for it.

This isn't just GGG that would be sitting there with sony, tencent probably would have someone there as well (since GGG is owned by tencent).

I'm actually surprised that Microsoft went for it this time round, they were the first to deny cross platform MTX for PoE1 when it launched on xbox.

because there was 8 months between the game launching on PC and playstation as such there was not much value lost.

PoE had 6 years of MTX sales including ones in the tens of thousands before it launched on the console, it is now 13 ish years since PoE1 came out and there are tens of millions dollars worth of MTX sales that sony would see nothing of.
