Changes to Path of Exile's Account System

The discriminator numbers are so ugly :( can you at least hide them unless hovered and a little more hidden in profile too.

I merged the PC+PS5 accounts and when I logged into the PS5 I saw the account selector.
Switching to the PC account I didn't see any of the characters I had on the PC, and to return to the PS5 character selection I had to create a character on that account as the selector only appears if there is one in the list. Another issue was that custom filters were duplicated. |

I figured it was something to do with that, but even creating a totally new PoE account that had no steam affiliation, I get the same error. I contacted support, they are looking into it for me.

The numbers are ugly as sin. Having same name with different numbers is the worst decision. Now people will scam others even more.

OG account name holders should be number free and only those made after this change would have a number. Isnt it going to be a scammers paradise now?
I dislike this change a lot. Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.
I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_- |

If I don't have purchase receipts of microtransactions on Xbox, so I cant merge it with PC account?

What I'm hearing is that I won't actually be able to use my old microtransactions in the future, as I was initially led to believe. I am still looking forward to trying Path of Exile 2, but it looks like I wont be making any new purchases until Sony stops holding my previous supporter packs hostage.
