This won't be the case. Numbers are likely to be automatically assigned by the order the accounts appear in the database, and new accounts will get their own number following the remaining account numbers. These numbers aren't some trivial value, they have actual meaning, and they will have to be unique.

It seems unfair to me that I cannot use the cosmetics I bought and got on my PS5 account to be able to use them on my PC account since I will not play on the console anymore and what I bought there I will never be able to use again; It seems VERY UNFAIR to me, they should solve it...

GGG didn't want to pay Sony, you mean.

The PlayStation / Other platform stuff seems pretty cut and dry for the cosmetics but I have some questions regarding stash tabs.

If I put items into a purchased stash tab on one platform, will I be able to retrieve it on the other platform? I'm imagining a "remove only" tab in this case. Not ideal but at least you wouldn't be able to "lock" your items away.

Would it be possible to purchase stash tabs on both platforms and link them to get around the potential jank? Perhaps at a substantial discount for accounts which already own the tab in question?

Just trying to be pragmatic while we await a more favorable ruling from the Sony overlords. If we're stuck with this situation I at least want to see it be the least painful version possible.

I'm disappointed with this PlayStation news.
From a PC gamer who migrated to PS, i was excited about the possibility of merging accounts, but that doesn't even make sense anymore.

Doing the exact opposite of what Discord did. Good stuff, and a smart move.
