Character Names in POE1 and POE2

It was stated in a previous interview that POE1 and POE2 will share the same Guild chat and guild system. Given this information, it does not make sense that two characters with the same name between games can exist.

I’d be fairly sure but without seeing the interview to which you are referring can’t be certain of two things….
1) the two games sharing a chat was before the poe2 project was split out of the PoE1 game to become stand alone.
2) our new poe1 and Poe2 names are as they are today (you can rename yourself but will get a random new 4 digit discriminator) so that the 3 platforms could be unified into 1.


(Also bumping without reason or reply is, I believe against tos or coc and is definitely frowned upon)
