PC | Game Keeps Freezing my PC When Loading Locations

So, have now gone the longest without a crash.
All the settings I reset back, like TPM, secure boot.

I have disabled c-states, and manually input slower times on my RAM,
previously it was 3600, which does technically OC the flck on ryzens from base 1600 to 1800.

I dropped the ram down using the timings read from hwinfo to the 1600/3200 times manually inputting them, if you are unsure what I'm talking about do ask,

I should have maybe tried these 2 things separately, now I don't know which one is solving it (if it is at all, and I've just been lucky to get through 40 maps where in the past 5 at most before a full system freeze)

I'm not sure what changed, I've used the pc for years, can a Windows update destabilise XMP or other clocks speeds that were otherwise not a problem? Maybe, seeing as I only see AMD owners reporting the issue, it's fclk causing the issue.

I'll do the same, if I crash again, I'll post but otherwise going strong. (housemate remarked she could see the game running noticeably better and loading better than it has before on this machine). But, also, the moment I think it's resolved it happens again, so we will see.

Don't think it can, but my RAM has been at 3200mhz. Infinity fabric is 1:1 with the ram, 1600. I feel like it has something to due with a combination of windows update, poe update, and nvidia drivers update. Since most people such as myself only experience this in POE.
mmm, it could be just poe, and prayge it self fixes, my issue is i can't tell, because I had had some issues prior and this seems/ed like an escalation of the issue.

I had months ago applied OC's and had causes a need to re-flash bios, there is a chance I have a giant coincidence of issues lining up with POE having an issue. ><
Hello,

I have the same problem than before with my new configuration (9800X3D,W11 24H2) it's very strange, has anyone already tried if this incident happen with the standalone version and the steam version ? I'm with the standalone

It's definitely poe that is causing this issue.

Loading times are crazy in Necro Settlers (can,t tell for other leagues, but I assume it's the same). Players can take up to a full 2 minutes to load my hideout. I've never seen that before.
Seems this whole patch atm is suffering from performance issues. I see it everywhere. Hope they fix it soon.
I reinstalled Windows 11 version 23H2. I played for a few hours after that and did not have any loading screen freezes yet.
It seems that 24H2 could have really been the cause for those problems on my PC.
Ok well I did --noasync and --waitforpreload options in launch as I played and watched procmon waiting for crash and noticed it was most often around a memory write and additional found single event log, kinda rudely calling out POE as malicious or mismanaged, (sorry GGG it was win11 not me I promise) the logic I had was to reduce the frequency of memory read/writes

I also switch my driving to the studio one, unrelated reason but there is chance

These settings did result in a no crash for a solid 8 hours. If it's because of that /shrug

However, I took a cpl hour break and upon relaunching POE a common redistribute pack on steam downloaded. And have been playing, no issue, for a number of more hours.

Be interested to know if others had such a download/patch and still have issues

Otherwise, I guess try those launch options because they seem to be ok (but every time I play a long 6-10 hour no crash session and think it's good, the moment I come here to say hay. Maybe, I crash 30 seconds later ><)

Those launch options didn't work for me.
I've been having this issue as well. I got:

Ryzen 5 5600
3060ti
16gb ram

Only happens when loading, and whole PC freezes up, basically have to suffocate it to restart.

It also just started happening when I updated Windows to Windows 11 Pro 24H2 on 12/4/2024 so I think it has something to do with it. Someone posted a link regarding an issue with some SSDs which might be related, but it only happens on POE loading screens.

I'm just hoping it doesn't happen with POE2 because damn that's going to be annoying.
