PoE2: One death in map and its bricked.

Agreed. 6 portals and less XP penalty.

The penlaty XP is what make me abandon POE1, because, unless you are a hardcore gamer there's no way to invest so much time and not see any advance in your char.

I really hope there is some changes about that... If not, well, there another games.

I leaving the game for now, to frustrate to become more infuriate with a thing who supose to relax, not the other way.
Luckily for everyone in this thread who wants the game to be easier and more forgiving they can go play POE 1. It's not going anywhere.

Learn the value of overcoming adversity. If you don't like the game don't play. I'm not over there trying to change d4, I just accepted I don't like curated loot and forgiving mechanics so i don't play it.

ciao
This ruthless mode of poe 2 is a joke.

GGG should never forget who will buy there ingame stuff: The happy casual after a long working day who did 1-2 happy hours of farming (like in d2...) or the nerdy no-lifer...
Hopefully tencent will take a look at their asset and explain chris & co. how economy will function.

I think one thing needs to be clarified, why is End Game being made?
To have a better item, right?
Well, if you've been farming for hours to get close to the end game, and as a result you suddenly get to the part where you see a few items you want drop and the system doesn't give you a chance to loot them, I don't see how this game will give you any pleasure.
Yes, when we say don't die, be careful, let's not forget that this is in the early access phase, some things are not fully ready yet.
If everything was ready and we were given the opportunity to try this system, maybe we could get used to it.
In other words, your adventure, which you started with curiosity at the beginning of the game, begins to bore us with the problems you experience due to in-game errors or heavy 1-shot mechanics.
We can tolerate in-game bugs or one-off mechanics, but this system is no fun and it's very frustrating and stressful to see people spend hours trying to recreate the scene where these events occur.
This concept its really frustrating , bring back the POE1 Mechanics pls. the whole concept of playing in a party also dont make sense in this way.

We got bosses based on more mechanincs let us learn and retry without lose the map.
I am really waiting for a statement if this design is set in stone. Would safe me and lot of time 8f they stick to this.
Hope they keep it
It's not about being easier it's about being able to progress and still have a life. If I run a map and die I loose the map and the xp and can never progress. The result is I won't play the game.

I just got to maps I have completed three total and don't even want to play anymore. I doubt I'll log in again until the remainder of the campaign is released or this one death and xp loss is gone. It's just a waste of my time.

Absolutely, this.

I really enjoyed the campaign, and the increased difficulty of the game compared to other ARPGs. But one death per map is just too much. I've gone from loving the game to rather doing absolutely anything else with my life.

Please revert this back to PoE style, GGG, with 6 deaths.
The game is plenty more challenging than POE1. The one death and bricked philosophy puts it over the top to where it is no longer fun. It is nothing but an exercise in frustration.
