after seeing ascendies wich do you thik is best to start with?
" The old breach rings had an implicit that stated "Properties are doubled while in a Breach" I suspect there will be at least one thing in poe2 that only applies while in a breach. That is the only thing that being in a breach would mean. For most of the time, you can just ignore that last line. Also, you should just play what looks most fun to you, all the ascendancies will be strong choices. Invoker has stuff that interacts with the meta gems like cast on ignite and stuff, making them trigger more often, that is really strong. I also think that triggering elemental expression on melee crit will be really strong. |

looking through the ascendancies, i will ALWAYS prefer consistent boosts in power (offensive or defensive) which are active at all times rather than chance based boosts or duration based boosts.
that being said, i may just start with pathfinder. to get a consistent movement speed boost while attacking and be immune to slows is massive. also to have a boost in flask charges and life flask effect not ending at full life is huge. these don't enable builds, but they are consistent strong effects active no matter what type of character you want, which i really like. titan however looks like the strongest ascendancy to me. its offensive buffs and defensive buffs are again consistent and ever present. i would love to start out with attack totems, but given the lack of totem stuff in ascendancies and not knowing whats on the tree, titan looks like a very safe bet. the way poe2 is, to have high defense and good boss killing capabilities i think will be immensely important. both pathfinder and titan will grant that in different ways. pathfinder plays moreso to my preference of always moving etc, but titan, if stun stuff is available in passive tree, could prove ideal. i'll probably start a warrior and see what the tree offers, but i know i'll be rolling a pathfinder shortly after deadeye actually is pretty strong as well, especially with a dodge roll available to everyone. if you're good at dodge rolling and can keep tailwind up majority of times, thats massive. |

Thinking Stormweaver 1, 6, 7, 8
thinking Bow/Sword build but I duno would have to see what skills and supports are available for that kind of play |
|
I think the Blood Mage and the Titan look the most interesting.

Titan looks really solid.. nothing super interesting just some solid nodes. I haven't personally kept up with PoE 2 at all since I want to be surprised when I first play it so I have no clue what the tree/gems/items are. Titan still looks like a safe bet for some offense and defense nodes.

Pick what looks most fun for you. It's EA so dont try to min-max or pick the best things but test and give feedback to GGG, and most important thing is to have fun and enjoy first playthrough.

I need to see the full skill list first before deciding what to play. Especially since we can use 6L for multiple skills now. The poe2DB site apparently only lists all skills that have been revealed. Not sure if skills like Winter Orb is in POE2 or not for example as it's not on the list.
A safe choice for a spellcaster would be Stormweaver though. With the Arcane Surge stuff and mana stacking with MoM. Then the other 4 points can be custom for the build. I also saw that Herald of Ice and Herald of Thunder only works with attacks now which is a bit of a bummer. I always used those on my spellcasters. They're only good for mapping too and a downgrade on your build for bosses, so not sure why they would remove the interaction. Last edited by SaiyanZ#3112 on Dec 4, 2024, 2:56:17 PM

I'll go for summoner Infernalist 1-3-10.
Probably I'll pick all the minion damage nodes I can find, and hope for the best. |

" It just as the description means, you are considered in a breach while the skill is active. And Flame of Chayula, the buffs you collect, are only able to be collected / seen while Into The Breach skill active. |

I'm going Crossbow/Slam Warbringer for my start. Armorbreaking with phys crossbow skills then gigaslaming with a two hand mace to proc huge bleeds. Im undecided as to if I will go warcries or giantsblood with a shield and use the shield nodes.
Its either that or a fire/lightning firestorm invoker with a ton of cast when shock/ignite skills and archmage. Last edited by fouquet#0993 on Dec 4, 2024, 5:52:51 PM
