we cant know for sure.

in poe1 characters do ramp significantly, what you are doing at lvl1 is very far from what you are doing at lvl90.

that said theres no harm trying out a few things and going with the one u vibe with most. a lot of it is psychological anyway, the important thing is you are engaged and having fun. so if you are getting the feels from one character in particular early on thats probably a good energy to move forward with.


i expect the design intention will be that all of them have the potential to be highly effective in endgame so as long as the balance isnt too far off most of it will come down to that vibes check.



if thats how you want to approach it, do that, try a few things and go with the one that speals to you. but dont write the other classes off for future characters based on early gameplay because yes this is definitely a game with massive character progression and customisation where what seems a little stiff at first might really expand into something exciting further down the line.

yeah im kind of with you tbh, the monk looks really fun as a melee class, the other dude when you are taking half an hour to perform a slam... ughhhh. the return of melee totems? rly?

im probably going to keep it basic, stormweaver 1 2 3 6. if i can get some sort of cast on shock thing going on, if thats a thing then just gonna stack crit, shock, try and trigger a ton of spells going off everywhere. maybe get into MoM if it feels right, maybe just stick with energy shield.

i dont really want to watch any of the streamer meta analysis going on and id like something that feels pretty safe and straight forward, not too item dependant to kick off with so stormweaver looks like the steady caster pick. i understand what its doing on paper from a distance and dont have many questions.





as a long time ignite lover the infernalist is the one thats really interesting me but i think thats a second character for me. my friend ill be grouping with is going mercenary which im also hyped for but i think its best we stick with different builds so i can share gear with her.




might league start with a joypad? controversial.

I'll start as sorceress, will see how she's feel and what I find on my way to 1st "lab" than I decide what I'll go for, but I will definitely try to do some cold based sorc 1st!
