My Bonestorm/Reap Blood Mage starter for PoE 2 - THE JOURNEY PAID OFF
I think something funky is going on with fork. I felt like I am not one shotting higher hp mobs anymore with bone storm and started doing some testing on bosses.
It looks like my single target is actually going down, like the fork reduction to projectile dmg applies even to first target hit. Went back to Storm + Brutality + Scattershot + Arcane Tempo. I am going through A2 Cruel right now using Storm + Brutality + Scattershot + Arcane Tempo Detonate Dead + Magnified Effect + Unleash + Considered Casting (aoe clear) Bone Cage + Spell Echo + Lockdown (utility CC) Vulnerability + Parsistence + Focused Curse Power Siphon + Life Drain + Profusion (for occasional cull, power charges not realy needed, aoe is done with Detonate Dead mostly) When I will get a bit higher (still no last level gems) I am strongly considering grabbing a skeleton summoning offhand with extra spirit and going cast on crit + soul offering for some auto casting of 32% multiplicative dmg for Bone Storm. " Hello Exile! You get it right, it's a coinflip when you either get it or don't get it, and I don't like at all gambling on the QoL of my gameplay, that's the reason I personally don't like that kind of nodes in the Tree. GLHF Exile! |

" Hello Exile! Today I'll be uploading a step-to-step guide for this build. I really want all of you to see it, so stay tuned. GLHF Exile! |

" Hello Exile! As soon as I'll get another support slot I'll be trying that! It's just I believe there are other gems that are kinda more mandatory, at least in MY experience. Today I'll be uploading the step-to-step guide in this same post. GLHF Exile! |

I am going through maps now using similar setup with fork and I feel like I have no idea how to scale further I am level 67 and im not sure where to go on the tree , I took extra fork and chance to pierce on the dexty tree, as described before I also think i might have lost single target damage with it , Have yo uconsidered using splinter aswell ? I am also not sure how it will be possible to scale enough toughness for higher tier maps , to add to that the casting time being slow makes it hard to go any faster in maps I'll probably make a new character from now and see if any of you guys find some breakthrough

Great writeup, Exile!
I've been running a striking similar build that I stumbled into myself, and I found yours when I was looking for some guidance, so its been deeply appreciated. I'm looking forward to the guide! My setup is similar to Oathiel#0747's - I've been running with powersyphon for consistent charge generation and I'm having a blast. May I ask what this "MS movement feature" which keeps being mentioned is? I'm having trouble parsing it. |

" Also felt the same way, and even made testing on boss. Yes, it does trigger on the initial hit taking the whole dmg of bonestorm down. |

" This was my observation too after testing Heft. It just doesn't seem to do anything, not in the description (that's obvious) but also not in terms of effects. " I can also confirm that Fork cuts your single target damage in half, tested multiple times against bosses and compared numbers. I must have something to do with bonestorm's projectiles being in a skein formation and when the first projectile hits, Fork seems to calculate that all other projectiles do -50% damage since the first one already forked in the meantime. I'm currently running Momentum + Brutality + Arcane Tempo. I've found these boots quite recently: And I tried to play around them. Using fork, I made mobs on my screen pinned and thanks to shenanigans like Resonance and combat frenzy, hitting an enemy gave me a power charge. But since Combat Frenzy only allows this to happen every 6 seconds, I dropped it and kept running Power Siphon for creating power charges. Unfortunately, no passive nodes nor spirit or support gems can really get something valuable out of pinned enemies that would help here (except more crit chance which I already have enough of). https://www.youtube.com/user/RisingLetsplays Last edited by Vetkin_Sindrain#5428 on Dec 13, 2024, 11:42:42 AM
