Cold Chronomancer Megathread. All content cleared. Leveling guide added. Low-budget build added.
I just wanted to post an update. This build is now really working for me.
I'm still getting 1 shotted but less than before, at I'm making (very) slow progress, leveling wise. I was running Blink previously (just love it) but reluctantly gave it up for Grim Feast, plus now have more mana/health pool and I got CI. I just have to decide which uber unique to save up / buy first. I think either the Ingenuity belt or the melting flask. I'm currently using Siphon as my anoint. Has anyone tried anointing Split Shot (75% of an additional projectile when forking)? |

" Flask is cheaper and is gamechanger. Basically, with it, the temporal rift transforms to the panic button for HP and almost is not used anymore. Also mucg easier to manage mana issues if any. Ingenuity is OK choice, but... 75+% is more expensive tnan mana flask but provides the DPS. Just answer the question 'unlimited mana' or 'more dps' and decide on your own |

" Thanks, that makes sense. Since mana is also my life pool, I'll get that first. |

The only spell I'm not really using is Eye of Winter. Not seen the need yet. Is that more for the very end game bosses (pinnacle, breach boss etc)?
And do people keep their EoW at low level (because you're mainly using it for the debuffs) or max it out? |

" I would say, when you get spark, you will use frost wall once a day in rare situations for mobs control purposes and just kill every boss without frostwall, just 1 cast of EoW P.s. low level, less mana, same effect. P.s. High level is also ok, like lvl 19, you do not spam it anyway. P.s. Lvl 13 with 5 sockets are really popular for necromancers Last edited by Sairef#3190 on Feb 9, 2025, 4:34:58 AM

Hey
Just a short Question, how does the build work with eldrich battary? As I get the skill I have 1 Life and 0 Enegry Shild. With the other Amulett you have previous in your Build 30% of max mana es extra Energie Shild I got around 2k ES but with the new Amulett I have 0. Thanks |

" Your mana is your HP, so it would be wise to get Melting Maelstrom first and after that only get rid of ES |

I am curious about optimal level for gems.
In the guide, Monik used 19 for a lot of them. Is there any advantages? Like Frost wall for example? At 21, the walls have much higher HP. |

" So you run normal gloves instead of virtuosity. 455% is quite a lot to find. Also do you run it, high risk like Monik with no shield and 1 life. That scares me because sometimes you just empty your mana pool and if an enemy hit you, dead! |

Meanwhile, dropped an F.A.Q.
Be sure to check it. ~~~~ " Great job =) Split Shot isn't worth it. Frostbolt isn't your main skill, Frost Wall is. We are using Frostball to detonate Walls, bc they have all the damage you need to clear things. " I recommend to stick with lvl 18-19. It is used as a utility against bosses to apply a lot of crap. You can check it in my old Xesht 8/8 video: https://youtu.be/oWo9uiT6Gu4?feature=shared&t=21 22nd second: EoW applied Shock, Cold Exposure, Lightning Exposure, max stacks of CW in a single cast. " Exactly like Eldrich Battery says. All ES from the gear transforms to mana. And we have Mind over Matter. This means mana is our life pool. Anyway, you don't need a rare +3 amulet instead of Everlasting Gaze before you get 5.5-6k mana. " Ugh... I just forgot to upgrade the rest of the skills... If I'd run Frostbolt I'd definitely prefer level 21 Wall btw. With Spark, I'd probably just fit Icicle. Lvl 21 Wall does more damage than 19. " We don't die at all. It's risky only in Simulacrum. Maps are perfectly fine. Last edited by monik390#5560 on Feb 9, 2025, 9:15:49 AM
