Hard crashing PC locks up

Problem is that a software which people have paid for might cause them to lose money and time, and the developers of the said software are seemingly deflecting and minimising the issue.

It's "AS IS" software, you accept the risks.

You are on a topic discussing potential hardware damage and offer a solution that not only does not check for hardware damage but would most probably miss it. Therefore it looks like you are trying to be misleading on purpose -if you are knowledgeable- or if we were to give you the benefit of doubt, simple inadequacy and being way over your head.

It's recommended way by Microsoft to check integrity of the file system. And yes, in this case you also accept all risks. Windows do it automatically from time to time.

people will go back and report their pc broke because of the new video game! thats all they do in their life!

Blame the developers of underlying layers of your system, including vendors and uefi devs. They are responsible for the hard crashes when USER MODE application crashes.
Oh boy, it's been a couple of hours! That means here comes cursortarget again just being wrong, angry, missing the point, and fighting anyone who has any issue that he doesn't personally believe in! Don't forget also trying to pretend its entirely everyone's own fault instead of the clearly well documented, wide-reaching, and longstanding fault with GGG's games! Very productive!

GGG's USER MODE application seems to think it needs 100% of every CPU core every random amount of loading screens somehow even knocking the OS out before it can even get an event out in event viewer. Haven't seen any other legitimate application pull that off in at least 20 years.

Something is seriously wrong with how they handle multithreading and blaming everyone else isn't going to fix it.

It worked for multiple people and GGG also points to that, I don't know what you want more. And I didn't post in any other thread but you recurrently failed to convey information my friend, you should take a nap, drink a glass of water, spend time with friends you know, not getting angry online.

In the posted "Known Issues" Devs have already confirmed majority of the crashes are people who are on Windows 24H2, that means they have collected enough data from the crashes to conclude there is a problem with Windows 24H2 and POE 2 atm.

I just don't think he understands how flawed this Windows 24H2 update is. It's not just POE 2, it has affected many other games. Just googling Windows 24H2 problems you open a whole can or worms. I was one of those also that ran Windows 24H2 for awhile with no issues honestly until I tried to play POE 2. Windows 24H2 was running other games fine Dragon Age, Stalker 2, Indiana Jones and many other games.

Hopefully they sort out these crashes for everyone so they can all enjoy POE 2!

We are not here to protest windows implementation of cpu scheduling. We are here to report that GGG must upload a fix such that our PCs do no freeze JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER GAMES
Do you understand this simple axiom

It's crazy to me people are suggesting this isn't a PoE 2 issue. I'm at a loss as to why most people aren't having this issue at all with PoE 2... especially when there are also so many people who are having this issue and it seems to behave differently for everyone. Some people have fixes that reduce frequency of crashes and other people don't.

But it's worth noting, at least for me, this does not happen in any other game I've played on this PC. In fact I've been gaming everyday for a few hours each session since the launch of PoE 2 EA and I have not crashed at all... unless I'm trying to load an instance in PoE 2. lol

It's wild that anyone's suggesting there's nothing GGG can do to patch this.

THIS!
Using BES Limiter and granting PathOfExileSteam.exe just 95% of CPU solved my issues.
Before I had 6(!!!) hard crashes in a row after starting the game!

This Game is early access but does a really poor job addressing CPU power correctly.
Yep, same here. Happens to me everytime I try to enter a new area.
After that it works just fine, but is still very worrying and frustrating
Can GGG please add an option in the settings to disable multi-threading while loading as a temporary solution? I think this is at least the best thing they can do while they're trying to get this fixed.
