Hard crashing PC locks up

Same issue. Making the game use 4 less cores at least allows me to close the game instead of crashing my whole PC.

Try downloading Process Lasso https://bitsum.com/ and set CPU limiter for POE2 process. Might prevent from even the game freeze, I am testing it now. Limited at 95%, but I am new to this tool. Just read it on some reddit thread. I am also going to text BES CPU limiter ... not sure what will work ...

I am already using Process lasso to automatically prevent PoE from using 4 cores.

Don't kill me if this won't work for you...
I had the same issue (with 24H2).
I had to do a hard restart approx. 7x. Only with PoE2, no other game.

On my second monitor where I had a stream open I noticed that it started stuttering just before the computer locked up completely.

So, I deactivated VSYNC in the graphics setting which was actvated for me.
Since then it didn't happen again.

Maybe I am just lucky so far or it's pure coincidence but as this only takes 2 clicks maybe you give it a try.

I am already using Process lasso to automatically disable 4 cores so I could close the game instead of my PC hanging up.

Same crashing but on an Asus Strix G18 laptop. The laptop has i9 CPU with RTX 4080 laptop GPU. The game will shut off the laptop at randomly while playing POE2. Sometimes its within first 5 minutes and sometimes 30+ minutes. I wasn't able to play for more than an hour before the hard shut down. =[

Same issue... AMD X3d chip, 4090, complete freeze.
Plz put this on the problem list, it is real!

Same problem, but everyone writes about desktop PCs, I have it happening on my laptop as well.

CPU: Ryzen 9 7940HS
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4060 Mobile
RAM: 24 GB
Windows: 24H2

I didn't have this problem with POE 1 at all, but in part 2 it happened 7-9 times already. Only a hard reboot of the laptop helps.

That hasn't happened in other games.
