Hard crashing PC locks up

So, 2 weeks and still 0 answers.

We need try find a solution everyday but GGG still don't care.

They said "Fix crashs"... What crashes??? A lot of people with high-end computers now having GPU 100% and 51 FPS.

263 pages and growing, 2 weeks, 0 answers, 0 patch to fix it, a lot of "crashes fixes" and still the same erros.

Thank you community to find some temporary "fixes".
Guys, GGG is already drunk and sprawled under the Christmas tree. They celebrate $$$150mil from early access sales.
Don’t count on any fixes for the next 2-3 weeks.
PoE nowadays looks more and more like a fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.
Game completely crashed after clicking login button, brand new PC build, had to force shutdown using the power button.

This just started for me when windows updated a few days ago, I can't even get past the character load screen. I did notice most people are crashing on AMD cups. I'm on an intel 11700k with a post faulty evga 3090 ftw.

I've tried everything posted here with zero luck. hoping for some news soon.
Yeah, this suckes! Want to play, cant play. Strange thing is that i have no porblems in any other games.
With the fixes mentioned here, the amount of crashes and instabilities seem to increase. The thing is the problem became worse after going into nvidia and setting the game performance from optimal to a lower better performance setting. So instabillities started to not only occur on certain map switches but also when starting up. After going into the game and switching from direct x12 to vulkan the crashes became unplayable. Switching it back didn't fix anything.
So I think something got corrupted and gonna attempt to reinstall the game.

started happening to me as well today after updates.

Good evening,

I also have this freeze problem when starting the game and loading a map.
I've tried absolutely everything! The only thing that really works is to disable multithreading in the game options before loading any map, and to enable it again once the map is loaded.

There's a serious bug in the programming of this game.

By and good game !
STILL. HARD. CRASHING.

I have now shut down 2 of my cores to at least avoid having to force restart my (very expensive) computer, but that has lead to even more rampant game crashes (far more tolerable than my PC...but yea)

In case it's helpful: I tried switching from DirectX12 to Vulkan and I was actually able to play for quite a while without a problem. I played probably five hours over 3-4 sessions with plenty of trips to town and back and encountered no problems like I had before.

But then I did hard crash, once again just after loading into a town. Maybe switching was just another placebo, but I do wonder if there's something to the delay it took to get there.

I was hopeful I'd averted the problem, but given I haven't, I'm probably going to wait to play again until there's a serious update addressing these crashes. :(
