Another small patch just dropped. Decided to run the game stock standard and was surprised with a 2hr flawless run.
No patch notes found.

If they would've fixed the freezes they would be communicating it, sadly it's just placebo.
I realised that if game was closed and i try to back to it - it hangs (freeze with 100% CPU). Every time when i close it and try to back to it - situation repeat until ... i changed server

So i found out that i can't log via same server. I need to change server everytime i want to play (between 2 servers. Amsterdam <> London)

And i think that 100% CPU utilization somehow rely on connecting to the same server.

Problem fixed for me when i choose another server everytime i want to log in (You can choose 2 best servers and switch between them)
Game started crashing when joining other people's hideouts. I get locked in the loading screen, mouse seems to move with 1000ms lag, then game just locks up, and I cant end application, only hard reboot.
A fact is a statement that can be supported to be true or false by data or evidence. In contrast, an opinion is a personal expression of a person’s feelings or thoughts that may or may not be based in data.
I'm done. Unless a patch note specifically addresses this issue I won't try again. I played for a bit tonight doing the multi thread toggle. I didn't crash but during a trial of chaos run the load screen spiked my 9800x3d temp up to 98c... No other game even reaches 80c spikes and it usually averages 55-60c in a zone. Idk wtf they are doing during loadscreens but it's not ok.
I managed to get through my 1st 24 hours of off and on gaming with this game without a crash.

Using Vulkan + disabling CPU cores seems to work.

Got all the way too level 50 tonight and into Cruel Act 1.

There's something wrong with DirectX11 and DirectX12 and this game. That's for sure. Not seeing the same texture errors with Vulkan.

Windows 11 23H2 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD
Bump and reminder to leave a negative review on Steam until this issue is resolved.
The armchair IT guy GGG apologists are the absolute worst. Stop it.

It is not Windows. It is not peoples hardware. It is not fking unstable intel cpus or windows defender like that one guy yesterday.

It is path of exile. It only happens with path of exile 2, and reportedly poe1 can't confirm tho.

GGG needs to fix it.

I can 100% confirm it's happening with POE1. I stopped playing POE2 just because the game is too much of a mess for me atm. Been playing POE1 for the last week and a half. Tried all the various fixes. Nothing has really solved the issue. The full pc crashes are happening in both games regardless of the fixes.

The most success I have had so far with my 7800x3D is using AMD Adrenalin to constantly clear the shader cache, running on 556.14 nvidia drivers, and changing: Vulkan/OpenGL present method to Prefer Layered on DXGI Swapchain, in NVIDIA Control Panel 3D settings for POE.

This so far has eliminated the crashes but still get lots of fan noise from cooling the CPU during load screens. So, I am honestly just waiting to see how long it takes the crashes to return.
