Hard crashing PC locks up

Hey, don’t know if this has been patched, but I downloaded the game yesterday and I’ve been having the same issues , 7800X3d, 4080S, Win11 24h2z CPU usage goes to 100% and game crashes, after a boss fight or during loading. Is there any fix for this?

having same issue, but it's on almost load screen.. like 50/50 chance of happening. Only way i found to not have this issue at all, is disabling Multithread on game settings.. but this drops the fps to 1/3 normal :\ I hope they patch this soon

im waiting til this gets fixed. very frustrated that a game that could cause your whole PC to totally freeze and lock.

to add up: Im using win 10 on 22H2 version..
Weird is that i played the game for almost 2 weeks straight witouth any problems, some crashes here and there, but mostly when the instance was full of stuff like mobs or projectiles.. it was like just 1 per day.. But suddenly (like 2 days ago) it becomes literally unplayable. I didn't make any update in this time window, no change in my setup etc.. it just started to crash a lot more, mostly on load screen entering maps/hideout. " Exactly this, bump. W11 newest version here, game started to hard crash after getting to maps. Literally 3 times in a row. Nerf player, buff boss

Still no fix. Still no communication. Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam. I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do: 1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad. 2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review. 3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there. |

" I believe they did acknowledge the issue on the forums. They are apparently in holiday vacation right now which is most likely why a fix hasn’t been released. Also its a early access game and unfortunately we should expect some issues.. |

" they have communicated its both in this thread and the known issues. They have been on break since before christmas posting this daily is cringe post your comp specs, or post a fix and leave. |
