Hard crashing PC locks up
" Interesting. I was going to try this but hadn't bothered yet. |

For me 2 things fixed my pc hard freezes, for a few days now
disable cpu 0 and 1 + also put game priority to realtime Sometimes the game still freezes, but rarely, and the pc didnt hard freeze once since |

" I did notice this a couple days ago, but I also noticed that once the instance timed out/died that it was trying to connect me back into, I could then connect again without crashing in the last town I was in. |

" Very interesting. I haven't had enough time to confirm that changing to the Nvidia "studio driver" for my 4090 is reliable long term, but I did notice that the spinning gears when the loading page shows are a lot smoother so far. I also installed an optional Western Digital driver update. Seems like NVAPI's power percentage monitoring doesn't play well with X3D CPUs specifically, so I disabled that. Nulled.
I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025 Last edited by Celestriad#0304 on Jun 4, 2025, 11:37:36 AM

if it helps, it helps.
After a fresh w11(24h2) install, I did the exclusion folders on virus threats, 100Gb shader cache and changed DX12 to Vulkan. I think in 2 days I got 2 freezes but playing everyday(8/10hrs a day) and not disabling multithread while zooning. Uncapped fps too. I'm just doing maps atm. Funny thing, one of the freezes happened when changed display monitor in-game. After that I only use the shift+win+arrow to do it and never had issues. " I did 3 (three) things, in case you missed it. Don't hate me just because I found something that makes the game work for me :p |

When is their holiday over? This is a pretty serious issue.

"I had a similar experience: Was playihng for about 2 weeks with almost no crashes, at least on load screens.. I was using Nvidia Studio Drivers this whole time. Then suddenly the freezes starts on load screens, and don't seem to cease. one of the first "solutions" i tried was changing to game ready. But the issue persisted or even got worst :\ i'll try to go back to Studio drivers.. if it works i'll update here also ^^ For now im playing on Direct x 11 with MultiThreading off, it's the only way i get 0 crashes. I am curious how long are people waiting before going the reset route?
I hate resetting so I tend to wait and so far have had my system recover - though it might take anywhere from 90 seconds to 5 minutes - and log me out. I dont know if the freeze is triggered by a timeout situation or the freeze causes a timeout situation leading to a forced disconnect. For those with AMD x3d CPU's like myself and are on Windows, do you have Game Mode on or off? I suspect (but do not know) that CCD switching is part of what is going on. I also wonder if Windows thread management is part of the core issue. **Asus TUF x670E Gaming, 7950x3d, AIO Corsair H150i Elite, TridentZ 192GB DDR5 6400, Sapphire 7900XTX, All Samsung 4k: 56"<->Arc2 55"<->48", NVME Sabrent Rocket 2TB, MP600 Pro 8tb, MP700 2 TB.
