Hard crashing PC locks up

I don't have this problem every day, but when it happens, it happens a lot. Only by manually disabling CPU cores for the game, I don't get complete PC crashes because I can still quit the game via the Task Manager. yesterday I had no problems, today all the time

Anyone still experiencing this issue, go into your Task Manager>Processes and Set the Affinity of PathOfExile to NOT use CPU 0 and CPU 1. This will allow your PC to have enough resources leftover if PoE Freezes to close the game or cause it to crash the program instead of your OS.
I have been doing this for 1 week and have had 0 hard OS freezes requiring a restart. You have to do this every time that you start the game. You can add args into steam launch to always launch with the affinity set to this but don't ask me how. |

since I have used this method I have never had them crash again
1> Open nvdia panel change opengl/vulkan > DXGI 2> go to nexus mod > Download zanepoe2-fix-crashes > and extract the file to the game folder . 3 > open zanepoe2-fix-crashes and after open the game 4 > switch dx12 > vulkan 5 > enjoy +30h zero crash |

4070s 32gb ram W11 23H2 hard locked twice and actually rebooted my pc twice in the last week im done playing until this gets addressed playing stalker 2, indiana jones, alan wake 2, cyberpunk etc etc all maxed out without any issues at all it is just this game and no other that causes problems Do not waste the remainder of thy life in thoughts about others -Marcus Aurelius 167 A.C.E. Same here. Started playing game since it launched in EA and had hard crashes since. After disabling CPU cores via task manager was able to close the game without shutting down my PC and those crashes were not that often. After I have reached ACT III in game issue got lot worse. Now game is crashing on almost every loading scene and even when try to close the game system will completely freeze. Had to uninstall game today since it is unplayable at this point and GGG is apparently deaf to players feedback regarding this severe issue.

What to do: 1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad. 2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review. 3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there. |

THIS WORKS my game just froze and my pc did not i was able to pull up task manager and close game out and restart it! :) Thanks buddy!

I used to be in these threads daily... and then I gave PoE Uncrasher a shot. Game changer. 1 Week and 10 hours no crashes. Every thing on default settings. 9800X3D and 4080 Super. Whoever made that is GOAT level
