Hard crashing PC locks up
" You're likely in the minority on this. It's been over a month for PoE2 (and longer for PoE1) and they've gone radio silent. |

" I've been experiencing the crashes since day 1 but I was able to play by just disable/enable multithreading and disable 2 cores as a preventive measure if I ever forgot to do the first thing. However yesterday I experienced for the first time my pc rebooting while i was idle in my hideout with multithreading off. Initially I was worrying it may have been either my PSU or UPS acting up... but now I read someone having this sudden pc reboot. In my case i simply had my monitor turn off and then had the BIOS and windows loading as normal reboot procedure so there was no power cut to the whole pc either. Does you experience the reboot randomly or under some specific circumstances like during a map or something else? |

" There are people on reddit, stem and forums with a similar problem. I have not been able to identify any patterns. It has happened on maps and acts. Perhaps it is related to the load on the video card/processor. However, I have not ноте this in other games.. And yesterday I ran the furmark test at 100 percent video card load and nothing. So far, I don't realize the extent of my problem. However, the fact that you responded so quickly suggests that the problem is more than a one-off. Perhaps even these problems are related. A computer gets a critical failure and freezes up, while others go into a forced reboot (I have seen this behavior on server computers). Last edited by Disshell#7118 on Jan 10, 2025, 10:02:25 PM

" Most streamers run the i14900k from intel, since this thing crushes in application and not neccessarily rasterized workloads.(still extremely good ofc) |

For the people experiencing crashes constantly, set the Virtual Machine (VM) up and set PCI Passthrough for your GPU to benefit from its power. Run the game inside the VM and when it hangs up, just restart VM and continue to play without restarting the PC by pressing Power / Reset buttons.
For the cost of losing 10% of the game performance (depending on the settings) it's a good opportunity. Last edited by cursorTarget#1174 on Jan 11, 2025, 4:42:31 AM
