Hard crashing PC locks up

Fix your game ffs.
At this point, if you have the time, you should join the livestream tomorrow and be sure to respectfully and repeatedly ask them when they're going to fix this MASSIVE issue.

Respectfully, I will NOT try that. The game should just work.

It should just work, but it doesn't. So I tried something new and it worked so far with minimal effort.

Bump.
+1
its game not optimized at all for cpu and loading (map loading is just too long)
hard cpu on strongbox in map when smoke appear => cpu (adm ryzen) => warm

poe1 was somes few month ago loosing perf too (mayb something from poe2 dev)

and plz stop 24H2 says its problem :)
i played many game and Yes 24H2 with HDR cauze pb
but without it there is no pb
and poe2 got crash/freeze and lag when smoke or bad optimized town like clearfell

Now the PC hardlocks even at the start of the game, problmes are getting worse instead of better. Good thing that critical and sarcastic posts get deleted, priorities are on point.

Posting my specs just so they're included in the optimization.
I had no issues for a week from launch. Then windows did its own thing. Now constant silly crashes:

Loading screen: press a random key = crash.
click on a stash tab to buy = crash

Etc. Silly out of nowhere things.

Windows 11 Pro
10.0.26100 Build 26100

13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13600KF 3.50 GHz
32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
AMD Radeon RX 6700 8GB
Gygabyte Z790 UD

I came to add that the crashes are getting worse and worse.
Now the game crashes without even launching. I see the grinding gears, and it stops there.

I can't keep doing this. I'm currently installing the standalone launcher, and will give it a try that way.

I really don't know what the issue is. My PC is fairly new, and no other game crashes or freezes my PC like this one.

I noticed that if I validate steam game files, then the game gets me through the part where it crashes, and I can play for a while before it starts happening again.

It's official. I can no longer launch the game no matter what I do.

UPDATE:
I uninstalled Adrenaline, and installed a previous GPU drivers, drivers only. I'm in now.

For the people experiencing crashes constantly, set the Virtual Machine (VM) up and set PCI Passthrough for your GPU to benefit from its power. Run the game inside the VM and when it hangs up, just restart VM and continue to play without restarting the PC by pressing Power / Reset buttons.

For the cost of losing 10% of the game performance (depending on the settings) it's a good opportunity.

WOW! Why didn't you post that early? With the help of my IT friend I managed to install virtual machine and now I can play the game. Fortunately it doesn't even crash but I'm having pretty low FPS, it's about 50-ish. I suppose pci pass is what I have to do the next?

Should I set the affinity for my machine or the game? Just in case I disabled CPU 0 an 1 for the vm and the game inside it.

Oh I think I've got it! I don't have to set it anymore at all, because I can change the number of cores in the settings. That's COOL!

PoE Uncrasher works for most, not ALL, but most people, and solves the issue of hard pc freezing. Why cant they implement this fix into the game, its a pretty simple one, until they fix it on an engine level? Dont they care? Or is it their ego not allowing them to implement a fix made by some rando on the web? No idea. But this doesnt look good GGG.

PoEuncrasher handicaps your CPU to try to prevent the game from crashing your PC. We shouldn't have to lower our CPU's potential to prevent a game from crashing. It makes no sense to program the game like that. There are fundamental coding errors that GGG needs to fix. This is ALL on GGG to fix in their game code.

GGG has to lower the game client CPU workload during load screens. That's the problem they have to fix. Not to mention all the Direct X errors.

It literally doesn't. You have no clue what you are talking about. PoEUncrasher reads from the game's state file to find when the game is loading. Only then it changes the affinity of your cores until loading is done and then it reverts.
