Hard crashing PC locks up

If it's not addressed today, it's time to find a new hobby.
PoE2: A good, giving game
Definitely still happening. I have to reboot my PC 2 or 3 times just to play the game sometimes. The lockup always happens in a loading screen.

And I to am using a X3D cpu.

It's honestly shameful that GGG hasn't fixed this yet.

Welp I played with the hotfix and though it loads a bit slower, it no longer crashes for me. Had 10 tabs open in firefox with a video on youtube playing in the background and went through 4 loading screens without it freezing. (No set priority, no set affinity). I'm just glad I can finally play now.

Still crashing for me, even with multithreading switched off
Please join the official GGG interview on YouTube HERE and mention these problems.

For the people experiencing crashes constantly, set the Virtual Machine (VM) up and set PCI Passthrough for your GPU to benefit from its power. Run the game inside the VM and when it hangs up, just restart VM and continue to play without restarting the PC by pressing Power / Reset buttons.

For the cost of losing 10% of the game performance (depending on the settings) it's a good opportunity.

WOW! Why didn't you post that early? With the help of my IT friend I managed to install virtual machine and now I can play the game. Fortunately it doesn't even crash but I'm having pretty low FPS, it's about 50-ish. I suppose pci pass is what I have to do the next?

Should I set the affinity for my machine or the game? Just in case I disabled CPU 0 an 1 for the vm and the game inside it.

Oh I think I've got it! I don't have to set it anymore at all, because I can change the number of cores in the settings. That's COOL!

I'm surprised you managed to run it without PCI Passthrough. Anyway, without it the game performance is mediocre. You have to enable IOMMU in your UEFI Setup and use VMware because VirtualBox devs no longer support PCI PT. This article is good enough to set the things working.

So, if you're not having crashes anymore it is even better. You don't need to worry about constant restarts of your VM. I hope when you swap to VMWare, the crashes won't return back.

PS please, report back.

saw a new button on the thread , or i'm blind and never noticed it, going straight to the GGG staff reply asking for dxdiag.txt in a private message. How, i don't see an attachment option to private messages in this forum.
just saw the 0.1.1 announcement, no mention of the crash. really disappointing tbh.
