Hard crashing PC locks up

a lot of loading hard crashes for me. Win11 Ryzen 7 9800x and 2070 Super. Playing from steam client
Battle Encoder Shirase at 95% for the process worked for me for a day. Went all day yesterday with none of these hard crashes.

But I just had one this morning for the first time since using BES. Next I guess I’ll try 90%.

Mainly reducing the threads allocated to POE helps getting rid of the freeze! some crash may still occur but at least the PC don't freeze anymore!
I have not had any pc hard stuck freeze so I don't have to restart pc atleast. For me I have always have had the freezes of the game and I can hear sound and play but the screen is frozen so I cant see what anything of the game so I have to restart) or it can simply freeze to crash.

Fixed here with a check of installed files in steam. I had 1 corrupted file.
Since, no more crash.

Same. Video freezes but I can hear the music and combat audio. Happened like 8 times now.

This thread needs to go to the moon.

+1 for crashes EVEN WITH CORE AFFINITY -1 CORE
Yeah please GGG hear our cries for help cause this is riddiculous, I bet they will do jack shit but I could be proven wrong, cause listen this CLEARLY happends mostly.. but not limited to us using AMD processors like (in my case AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D) we have a relative new pc / 24h2. Still waiting for official recognition about this problem because right now it seems those with AMD processors can bearly play / cant at all..

Two more hours later, I have still not frozen completely. It seems that at least in my case, either the Steam Overlay or setting the compatibility mode to Windows 7 fixed it.
I just had a single freeze that lasted a few seconds, but it caught itself and resumed to normal again.
I cant even start the game in compatibility mode Windows 7... it crashes on GGG cog wheels before login screen with errorish hard crash sound to the desktop.

i'm on win 10, i'm getting perma crashes... best game session lasted 20 mins... can't get out act 1 like this, i had to fight the same boss 15 times, not because i was dying, but because game crashes during the fight...

tried using vulkan (no success there)
tried disabling multithreading (no success there)
tried BES (no success there)
tried changing win update from 24h2 to 23h2, or on win 10 going to 23h2 from 22h2 (no success there)
tried emptying shader cache (no success there)
tried compatibility win 7 (no success there)

i really want to play and go on about testing the game and bug reports etc, but if i can't even move my character more than 3 steps, it's gonna be hard to analyse what's wrong...

updated

Possible solution for game FREEZES and system reboots:
1) Update latest chipset drivers and BIOS for your motherboard. (be very careful with BIOS update watch guides or use help of experienced tech guys)
2) In BIOS settings DISABLE for ASUS-"Multicore enhancement", for MSI "Enhanced Turbo", for GIGABYTE "Tweaker tab, Enhanced Multi-Core Performance".
3) Clear AMD/Nvidia shader cache. (just google it)
4) WINDOWS 11 users rolling back the windows update from 24H2 to 23H2. OR Use Win 7 compatibility mode for .exe !
5) CLOSE all your browsers and their processes in your system before playing the game.
6) Steam - right click on PoE2 - properties - General tab - Steam Overlay switch OFF.
7) Delete the PoE client cache files in C:\Users\"your windows account name"\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile\
8) DISABLE dynamic culling in game options.
9) Turn off Nvidia Reflex in game options.

I did all of this and made it about 20 minutes without a crash. Back to crashing now though.

I went back to 23h2 instead of trying win 7
