POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
| |
There is no reason we should have to uncheck multithreading to play the game. And when you do, your FPS gets cut by like 80%. That's not even a workaround. That's a miserable gaming experience equivalent to the game crashing.

" That doesn't even work. |

" Your playing with the best cpu/gpu available... Do this on anything less and its unplayable. Please stop suggesting this. Im also not doing this every few minutes on every load screen to play one game. No other game ive ever played on my current PC has crashed to the point it needs be powered off and on manually. How about an update Timothy?

" Everything listed here was like a perfoming hoops jumps. Even with multithreading disabled and 100 gbs it still dies. The only theory I have that it's some sort of memory leak, and it affects everybody, even big guys with their bigdik 4090's amount of memory and power, but I guess you get that rarer, than my small p-p 2gb 960... ): Last edited by imTheSupremeOne#2871 on Dec 12, 2024, 9:35:01 PM

I think we have three different kind of crashes.
1. Hard crash have to press the reset button, system completely frozen 2. Crash to desktop 3 crash to desktop with pop up window missing textures For the past 3 days I didn’t have no 1. Hard crashes still getting no 2. crashes to desktop while loading or looking at the inventory. From time to time getting no 3 crash to desktop with pop up window that says missing textures. I hope the devs can implement automatic crash report. When you crash a pop up window appears where you can write what you were doing in game when you crashed and send the crash raport automatically to GGG. I was crashing to desktop, first time playing since some game updates..
I ran the PackCheck App in the file folder and after that was done I was able to get in right away. Maybe not a solve for all but for me it worked. Edit: Packcheck is in the POE2 file folder, and I did not do any of the other changes listed above, just the regular download. I've had some really good success with changing the page file size. It's hard to explain so I recorded a short video where you can compare with your loading times and overall stability when changing zones.

Thanks for sharing! I’ve tested adjusting the page file size, but on my end, I haven’t noticed any significant difference in loading times or stability when changing zones. Maybe the impact depends on the specific setup or context?
