POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

"
"
I uninstalled the game. So far I have not crashed a single time because I'm not playing the game.

Anyway: KB5048162 is November 21 update and KB5048667 is dec 10. These are official dates. If ya'll gonna tell me the game will work at a previous version than KB5048667 which were crashing even before December 10....

its an optional update.... i dont think you are reading this properly

But it doesn't work either, tried it, nothing.

Download the latest win update KB5048162

that seems to be the fix

Played for one hour with the new win 11 optional KB5048162 update no crashes. I also set my motherboard bios to default. Will report back later.

I was able to fix this by turning off 3 settings without turning off multithreading!!!

Turn off Dynamic Culling
Turn off Dynamic Resolution
Turn Off Triple-Buffering

I will update if the cpu lock up happens again with these off but I tested it by rapidly going in and out of act 1 town and the mud burrow. I did this about 25-30 times trying to force it to lock up again. I believe before turning these off my cpu was locking up every 5th-8th time in a loading screen.

Thanks, i will give this a try and report back with the results.

Did not work.

I'll test this, if I crash, hopefully you'll stop spamming.

im spamming because everyone is complaining like big babies about an early access game having problems and jumping straight to downloading 3rd party programs or making bios changes.... changes that dont seem to work 100% of the time. Im trying to offer a simple solution so people can play the damn game
Hi, the game was running well first 4 days then i got some black flickering and the game crashed shortly after.
Since the i either crash when starting the game or after a few minutes in game first i got Error D3D12 Failed To Create Resource For Texture then i got no error at all.
I reinstalled all drivers and as this and other stuff didnt work i reinstalled windows 11 and now i got swap_chain->Present() failed or no message at all when it crashes.
i tried out a lot of settings and nothing works, i checked my gpu and played other games which all worked fine.
I also tested poe 1 and there i also had the weird black flickering and small white lines from the middle of the screen. never had this in poeI before but the game didnt crash from it in the time i tried.

Your fixes do not work and no game should be forcing you to shut off your PC via power button. Now quit spamming.

This is a thread for a full pc freeze issue happening during scene transition...I think the issue you are having should be in a seperate thread

My CPU literally died today. My post got deleted from reddit and this really feels unbelievable (rule 5 low effort content....).

Had around 10 freezes and on the 11th my PC never woke up again. CPU was brand new - 9800x3d. Sent it to a local PC shop and they told me the CPU is dead. Never had any issues with it besides POE2. No overclocking nothing.

GGG why did you delete my reddit post???...

Can someone explain to me, why google says shutting off pc like how we have to do when poe2 freezes, only can hurt software and not hardware?

Is this true? False?

Someone who knows please explain

Because I roll the dice with poe2 hoping I won’t freeze and keep playing because I like the game

Should I just stop playing till it’s fixed?

3P programs like BES + affinity actually help, your settings did not, crashed. Thanks for trying, keep it up!
