POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

You're right, some grown up kids will always be out there. But, it is unreasonable to whine for hours and hours about potential bugs in an EA game for specific configurations, even if there are some other configurations out there with the same problems. Especially when there are also hints that the devs can't do anything about it - or need a major engine overhaul to circumvent driver or OS bugs.

They aren't interested in a solution, as there are solutions out there solving it on the OS level (like changing the process priority).

And it's not about the money, because I had offered to reimburse some myself (offer expired). But enough for me now. I've to go and play some - because I had the freezes, looked up a solution and just solved it.

You've been going at it in these threads for as long as anyone and not offering anything constructive. If anything, you're muddying the thread. Why not try to actually be helpful? Post your exact configuration, bug experienced, and solution.

These aren't bugs for "specific configurations". If you've read any of these threads, you will see that it is hitting mid and high tier setups. I'm running on a 12900k/4090 and the game is unplayable. I've tried every solution that's been offered, nothing has worked. Process priority, process affinity, PoEUncrasher, several flavors of Win10/Win11, nvidia 566 hotfix through 560, BIOS update, every renderer, etc. <- and every combo of these.

Suggesting that you have to perform something at an OS level to make a game function normally is an insane level of bootlicking. This isn't pushing performance boundaries, it's being asked to run at 60 fps on low graphics.

It's laughable to say that there are hints that the devs can't do anything about it, I have no idea what you've read that gives you this impression.

I'm not sure what reimbursement offer you're talking about.

And yes, obviously because a solution worked for you that means that everyone else's experiences/complaints are invalid /s

How about everyone keep it simple, keep it technical. Forum infighting only makes it look like a big QQ thread.

Post your problem, or same problem as OP, list any new information, list anything you have tried.

And maybe GGG will finally fix the shit.

I do have the same problem as well btw. Been on/off multithreading so far to semi-solve it.

I have an IT buddy who is working on possible solutions as well
CPU Config:
Ryzen 7 5700x
4060 ti
64Gb ram

I've been playing for about a week, a client from the Epic Game Store. The first couple of days of the game everything was fine, but after passing the starting location, my computer completely stuck. Changing the settings for the *.exe file to Windows 8 compatible, it helped for 1 day and the stuck returned. Change the size of the shaders to 10 GB - does not help.
POEuncrusher from github does not help,

Yesterday I installed the latest nvidia patch and was able to play for about 4 hours without any problems. It took a very long time to start the client after updating the drivers, a couple of minutes, I think it was compiling the shaders. The CPU load was 100% on all cores.

I have an assumption that the client's freezing may be related to the shaders, perhaps during teleport they start recompiling for a new location and the system hangs.

BUMP
Shame is still not fixed. Happy New Year BTW. GGG are you open this year? I understand that you made "good" but your response on this important issue with the game is disgusting :(

Thanks for posting the links to the hotfix driver. I will be installing it to see if it further improves the game. Hopefully more people try this and have good results!

After tens of crashes, I've decided to finally revert to Windows 11 23H2 to see if that fixes it for me.

These are my current specs:

4070 Super
i7-8700k
64GB RAM
Windows 11 Pro 23H2

I'll report back in about two days if my issue has been solved, or as soon as I crash again.

It's been a few weeks since I've reverted from 24H2 to 23H2 and haven't had a crash since. I suggest other people try this as well, however sucky resetting your PC is. It didn't just improve POE but increased stability across other games and programs as well.

Just came here to say that ever since i started using PoeUncrasher i havent crashed again.

I can even see when its about to crash because the sound becomes stuck in a repeating pattern, but when that happens the PoeUncrasher changes the poe process to realtime and the loading goes thru.

Today I decided to start a new character. Played for about 5 hours, no crashes. Seems like problem occurs way more often in endgame areas.

The links you posted have nothing to the upcomming newer driver. I suppose you didn't read the topic. I thought you managed to find the January release somehow @ Jan'02 but it's just hotfix for the older version and it has no reltation to PoE 2.

It won't help you. Read the topic. Many users already tested it.
