POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
I have a gtx 3070 and I can barely run this game after the patch.
It seems to have gotten much worse after the most recent patch. Mobs are all blurry and I stutter every few seconds. |

At this point i believe 100% GGG is waiting for Windows/Nvidia next patch of drivers/hotfixes to see if it miraculously fix the crashes (at least on some systems) before implicate the obvious that is a issue in their code..
We are 2 months in with this problem, not a single, a single hot fix was issued to even try to resolve the issue.. then no updates on what is causing it (this makes me doubt if they are even investigating) The worst part is that we are very likely 20 days before the next response, since they seem to come in a monthly basis on this thread.. At 10th ish. For now, short period.. im not expecting GGG to fix this, legit feeling. They don't know what is causing it, their "known issues" post talk about windows version, or multithread issue, even with users having the same crashes on other versions of windows, and with multithread off.. So they prob don't know how to fix, that's the only reason i could imagine to justify their "silence". Last edited by drx#8804 on Jan 21, 2025, 7:52:07 AM

" Why oh WHY would you continue to damage your computer for this game? |

Complete incompetence.

After going through forums and threads reading all these different setups with a similar crash, I started thinking maybe there are actually more than one issue occurring with the same outcome.
I won't claim to know it all or anything, was just thinking about it a lot. I would love to be playing this game because what I have played has been extremely enjoyable. It is a shame that so many of us are having issues and I have read some people "bricking" their pcs continuing to play with the freezes still occurring. I really cannot risk that with my pc, so I won't. So, I would think the people working on this game would already know stuff like this, if it were one issue or multiple issues. I see a ton of people are super upset about these issues and mostly rightfully so. When you pay for something you want it to not be crashing your pc at the very least, so I understand that for sure but I also feel some of us may be acting entitled with our expectations and with how we are presenting ourselves online with regards to this issue. Regardless of how much you know, there always seems to be someone else who knows more, and I think we need to take that into perspective. The people developing the game have that job for a reason, I do not have that job also for a reason. It is very likely that they know more about this situation than you or I. Of course, I am just speculating but I feel it is safe to assume even if I know a little about this that they likely know more because it is their job. For now I will enjoy project diablo 2(google it, it is fantastic) and really hoping to see some updates on the issues here with poe2 so I can get back at it :D . Hope you all have a wonderful day, and try to find something else you really enjoy, so you can occupy your time with some fun stuff until these issues are fixed and you can get back to this game. Sorry, if anyone feels called out or gets upsetty spaghetti at me for saying anything, it's all good. Figured I'd give people something to read that didn't seem angry or upset. |

" Thank you so much! I have an updated GPU and this advice did found corrupted filed and repaired them. I won't play the game until I see the community saying the no longer see this issue. I spend 3k on my PC. 2024 PC so it is not like it is old. Hopefully this stops the random soft reboots. |

Still waiting for fix meanwhile i`ll be playing D4. Thanks GGG for letting me play Diablo

Good day
How easy it is to blame elsewhere. The freezing of the computers occurred before any updates, only 1-2 per day. After your patch they are freezing every moment. Is it a coincidence? You are not alone in the patch that you have been digging into the louding and the freezes are only when louding. Stop pointing out that the fault is elsewhere and making excuses and making people look like dementors. It is clear that you can not admit the error because then thousands of people could ask you for compensation for possible damage to computers. |

I upgraded my PC from a 3900X to a 9800x3D last weekend.
And of course I had to reistall windows, previously using win 10, but migrated to 11 because 10 is on its dying breath. Before the upgrade with win 10, I could play with no issues, no crashes, nothing. After the upgrade with win 11 24H2 if I start the game using DX12 it crashes automatically. If I change to DX11 and load the game, no crash, I change to DX12 I can play the game, today though it crashed when entering the Backwash map (same freeze, forcing a manual restart) DirectX might be the culprit, every other setting I tried to change resulted in a freeze with DX12, but worked with DX11. |
