2025-01 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050094)
Successfully installed on 1/28/2025
2025-01 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5050577)
Successfully installed on 1/28/2025
I don't know if any of these updates will fix the current freezing issues, though. I am definitely not launching PoE 2.
Good to know. Any brave soul willing to test this out and report back? (Won't be me lol)

No amount of Windows updates will make this game thread-safe. Only GGG can fix this. The longer this issue goes without any formal communication or updates the less likely it seems there will ever be an actual fix.

Looks like this isn't getting fixed. Devs are clueless, especially since this has been happening in PoE1 apparently.

Not sure if this is a red flag or not, but here's the way it went with me.
It showed up in my windows update, but kept failing to even download. So I removed the contents of the "software distribution" folder inside the windows folder (which is a fix for the update download errors) and rebooted. The update is gone, and another reboot and several "check for updates" doesn't show it.
Maybe they yanked it already after the kerfuffle with bluetooth and webcams?

this happens to me too and it has gotten worse before it would freeze my pc and have to hard reset when changing zone now it is happening as soon as i launch is GGG going to fix this?
