Massive Latency Spikes

I don't know if this'll help anyone else but it worked for me.

Open Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security.

Click on Inbound Rules

New Rule...

What type of rule would you like to create? Program

This Program path: "Navigate to where you have PathOfExile.exe installed"

Allow the connection

When does this rule apply? Select all.

Name? Path of Exile


Repeat for Outbound Rules.

I also switched over to the x64 client. Not sure if I was using it before or not.

I have this issue in POE1 and 2. Constant 20ms but every 30s or so massive network spikes to 200ms. I never have any issues in literally any other game I play except for POE. It is infuriating and unplayable

Just here to chime in with the same issues. Huge latency spikes over 1000ms, was fine around launch but this issue has been growing worse and worse since. No problems with other activity on my network, just poe2. Tried plenty of fixes from this thread, nothing has changed.

Having the same issue in the actual game version. Creating a new instance holding ctrl when going through the waypoint sometimes allow a constant latency, but overall, very unplayable in some moments

How is it possible that the game looks like this, with pings of 20,000? Entering a city means the game will kick me out in a moment because the pings are so high, I don't understand how people can play such a product.

The latenzy spikes still exists...not even in a city, but at the maps, vaal ruins, and so on...

In the Network graphs the latency throw up to 60k ms and down to 20ms and so on. That issue repeats every few seconds.

Mostly it ends in a disconnects. i checked my internet but there is all fine, 3 smart tv's without any problems, but poe 2 stuck and lagged 6h per day.

in 16h of playing poe is remember more then 30 restarts of the game client.

Its unplayable atm, atleast for me, i have 80ms doing nothing then soon i move goes over 10k, this started to happen to me right has im doing my first juiced map ever, i was doing fine all day max 120 latency, but now its impossible.
