SOLUTION (for me at least) I killed the Miller (first boss before first town) on the new char, then went into the town and relogged to my main in Jungle ruin and left the cursed area immediately!

Yep, same bug for me now and cannot play at all. Happened when fighting Silverbeast in the Jungle Ruins. RIP.

Same issue here

Same zone, same issue, had no problem in normal mode, happened in cruel. Tried multiple workarounds, nothing seems to work for now.

Same here. New character didn't help, except for how I'm forced to play said new character now.

EDIT: WORKAROUND: Took a break, went to play something else, no PC reboot or anything just played another game. 2 hours later come back, figured I'd try, and it loaded in! Bye monkey!
