Difficulty is way to high

Just my 2 cents, but you will turn away a ton of casual players with the insanely high starting difficulty. It's really bad.

It will get easier. Stay strong.
The difficulty felt fine to me in A1, but in A2 I feel more and more steadily behind the curve. The lack of relevant drops and lack of impactful damage nodes on the skill tree make it hard to see how my character's power will improve.
I'm a casual player. I have max 2-3 hours to play every week to find some fun. This game is way worse than I've ever expected. It's a continuous dodge and resurrect simulator. I'll have a look a few weeks later and give it a try.
Would be good to see a Casual mode, which could be a SSF by default and only that, where sometimes you can play without pressing the spacebar through the desktop.

Nah, If they add easy-mode its not going to be SSF, Don't let the forces of evil win Exile.

You too can have fun without having to be punished for it.
Innocence forgives you
The difficulty is just in the player power.

Take comparison for example, in POE1 you can equip fireball with arcane surge and rock and roll. Have fun, blast enemies, move through the acts, try different skill gems, have a great time.

POE2 you get very few skills, none of them work by themselves they need to be combined with 6 other things in harmonious synchronosing ways for minimal damage.
It's difficult cause you have limited choices and all are incredibly clunky.
I agree. I almost don't have time to play games, but when I do, I'd like to enjoy it and not always to resurrect or to dodge in the dark.
Why isn't a Casual game mode with lowered difficulty as mandatory SSF. That wouldn't mess up the economy and the casual players could enjoy this too. I'll come back in a few weeks to see the changes.
The only real issues im noticing is that it appears all weapon types and gems are not in the game yet(expected i reckon), and drops feel just a step above playing ruthless. with no crafting bench getting resists is a pain.

It also appears alterations dont exist. So you get kind of stuck with crap items. Gold seems a bit scarce but i went a few hours not picking up and vendoring blues. so that could be my issue there.
+1
i like arpg, i hate dark soul like.
Act 1 just made me stop the game already so f... frustrating i can't even imagine what it will be later and don't want too.
I do think class setups like a minions only build seems impossible, but that's the only class ive really had an issue with. Close combat classes could probably use a tweak as well with survivability.
