Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access

You guys are wild. If you have unstable or low fps this thread isn't really for you.
Performance related to your rig or fps and Network issues of this magnitude aren't the same.
Stop cluttering this thread with completely different issues...

Trust me the "youtube-techsupport-tutorial" does not work for this particular problem!

Ingame press F1 and if you see the Network spike to wild numbers causing you to lag to the point of "stuttering" you are in the right place and should complain.

From what I've seen and read it is an old issue dating back to the first PoE and the way they're handling connectivity for the online service.
GGG will most likely not respond here but they might patch this sooner rather than later.
I agree with but, i wrote twice from twitter(X) but they didn't answer. Most of people telling we re not playing even everybody see in Reddit but they don't even say they are working on the problem. I am doing this job too but the community feedback is disgraceful.

Hello there,

I had similar problem.
What helped me was unchecking the multithreading option in Graphics tab (Graphics->Advanced Settings->Engine Multithreading).
The lag is noticable less problematic but now performance is significantly worse.

However I was able to defeat Act1 boss, so the game is now playable even if not comfortable .
I will investigate further.

Please let us all know if this solution helps.

Unfortunately the lag is back :(

Maybe Peering Problems?.

Dude you're my hero, VPN did it for me too!

Just yesterday the game was perfect, gamplpay smooth as silk, and now after today’s goddamn patch, it’s completely unplayable! Constant fucking lag spikes, screen freezes, so typical IT bullshit. Fix one fucking thing and fuck up anothe..

same here :-(
I have known this exact behavior since PoE 1, except there existed a non lockstep network mode: "predictive", which seemed to have fixed this exact issue for me.

It's also weird that this just started today, the other days it was barely noticable, but I was already afraid I would face this at somepoint given the missing network setting.
Hey guys, so i was having this same problem, stuttering while having 150 fps and internet connection was fine. the issue was resolved for me by changing from my autmatically selected server (amsterdamn) over to london. haven't had a stutter yet.
I have also this issue, my fps is stable but the Network bar is constantly spiking. Using VPN does not solve the issue. I have also tried other possible solutions which are mentioned in this thread but nothing helped.

CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: RTX 4070 Ti Super
RAM: 32 GB DDR5
Storage: 2 TB SSD

The screenshot were taken when just standing still in Clearfall.
On every Latency spike the game freezes/stutters.

Edit: I have the same issue in POE1 too but the freezes/stutters are fixed by switching "Networking Mode" to predictive even though the Network performance bar is still spiking

I've been getting the same stuttering and it made me not want to play. I confirmed my ping goes from a steady 20ms to 2-300ms during the stuttering. I just switched my network adapter on my PC to use the 2.4Ghz band instead of the 5Ghz band and I haven't had any stuttering in the last 20mins.

Thanks Dude!!!!!

Works like a charm to me. I changed my band to 2.4Ghz and the stuttering immediately gone.
I am having the exact same issue. Started today for me. It's literally unplayable. Ping spikes from 20 ms to 2-400 all the time when moving or attacking. I have no problems in any other games. Steady fps all the time.

I didn't play much poe 1, but I thought GGG was different than many other gaming companies. I thought they were responsive and communicated with their customers. I guess they are like the rest of them after all. It's crazy to me how there is still no response from them... just nothing at all.
