Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access

Same issue here as with everyone. Running POE2 on a ROG Ally. Open maps and dungeons run very well at low-medium settings easily 60fps+ but the random stutter is killing me. Tried tweaking all sorts of in-game settings but no luck. Even lowered all settings down to the minimum but the issue is still there and I suspect the problem is server-side rather than on my end. My ping (Singapore) is under 40ms but when I look at the graphs, I get random lag spikes up to 250+ms every couple seconds, which explain the sudden stutter. Changing server locations does not improve this either. Never had any network related issues playing all other online games (Valorant, CS:GO, Diablo 4, etc.)

none of these fixes worked for me. I am also on ATT fiber 1gig in california. Game is unplayable when it starts spiking.

I got the same thing ATT fiber California and the spikes are unbearable...

POTENTIAL FIX:
Under "Sound" options I set my "Channel Count" to Low.

Had to restart the game to take effect.

This dramatically improved stuttering for me.

This has been working for me so far! That's so weird!

I am also experiencing terrible lag. played all the way through act 1 first night with no issues. Now I am running upwards of a 2 second delay on input. My ping fluctuates between 20-300 multiple times a second and the game is unplayeable. There MUST be an easy fix for this, either by us players or GGG.
This started happening to me after the servers went down for maintenance for 0.1.0d.

It happens to me randomly on any server between Texas/Cali/DC. I can load into my hideout and my ping is fine, however, opening a map may cause my ping to shoot between 100 - 10,000 (not hyperbole). I've wasted multiple t6+ maps trying to advance my atlas and then having this happen. Once the ping starts shooting up, there's no fix besides to reload onto a new server but the chances of it happening again are too high to risk losing higher tier maps.

The initial 3-4 days were super steady as far as ping/fps besides the regular DCs and whatnot that's expected during EA.

As it stands, I'm unable to play the game anymore because of this and its randomness; losing a map because of the ping inside that particular instance is far too punishing.

Yea. At least in campaign you could spam new instances untill you had a lag-free one, now at maps its game over
hey guys... i was having same problem and looked around the forums and someone said to leave global chat... and type /clear

This actually made my game somewhat playable... id say 90% of the stuttering is gone
