POE2 - Unable to Complete "Ascent to Power" in Cruel Difficulty

same problem here.
Anyone else notice that if you play it in cruel and it doesn't update. Then you go to Act 2 and try there, the map is the exactly the same map? And if you reset the zone and try again, it does the same thing with both maps being the exact same map? |

The game shows incorrect information, but it's possible to ascend in other ways.

" We are not able to skip this quest in particular as it is required to "complete the campaign questline". Without completing this quest, we cannot map. Our characters are hard-lock and unable to progress further into the game. The quest that comes after "Ascent to Power" is skippable, but not this particular quest. |

" If you're not on your first character making it to the endgame, a step that is often missed for "completing the campaign" is running a map from the map device in the Ziggurat Refuge, NOT the hideout. While it's not a good state of things, you can't run your first map on a character from your hideout. |
