POE2 - Cannot do Trial of Chaos, did not receive Inscribed Ultimatum from Chimaera boss

boy this patch fix needs to come out in a hurry lol

i accidentally dropped mine when trying to stash items at one of those stash locations where quickmove in fact drops the items on the floor instead of putting them in the stash.
it vanished and there was nothing to pick up off the floor, just poofed.
kinda need the ascendancy points :s

you are supposed to be able to fix this by joining someone doing it in public parties but everytime the statue is unclickable at the end lol

is it just because they didnt do it as the quest version i wonder

I'm having this issue also. I don't remember the exact scenario of what happened, but i don't have the Inscribed Ultimatum in my inventory and it's not in the door when i go to the Temple of Chaos, and killing the Chimera won't drop me a new one. So i'm currently unable to do the Trial of Chaos for 2nd Ascendancy. Hopefully i can still do it if i can find a random dropped Inscribed Ultimatum or when i get to the Sanctum in Act 2 Cruel.

If anyone is still having this issue, I had the same thing, I had to kill Balbala, the Traitor is found in the Traitor's Passage in Act 2 and he dropped the inscribed Ultimatum

Pretty sure you are thinking of "Djinn Barya" Which is a completely different item for a completely different quest and trial.

This just happened to me as well. Exactly as described in the initial post. My inventory was full, clicked on the ultimatum and it disappeared.

You'll just have to do it with someone with their quest Inscribed Ultimatum, or just wait until you find (or purchase) a normal Inscribed Ultimatum to get your points.

In time I'm sure they'll fix the bug where if you try to pick up a green item and you have a full inventory, it no longer disappears from visibility (or despawns, as a user we have no way which one it is). That still is a pretty critical bug, despite in this case there being workarounds. If you imagine it happening with other green items, you can easily come up with a lot of character-bricking scenarios.

I'm unable to progress further because of this bug.
