There is a workaround... kinda. Just continue through the campaign.
That's how I did it: Step 1. Finish the first 3 acts — receive ascendancy points 1–4 (through two different trials). Step 2. Kill Balbala in Cruel and ignore the system telling you that the quest is not finisheed. Step 3. Finish the campaign. During campaign you should (although it is not guaranteed at the moment as far as I understand) get a Sekhemas coin with 3 floors. This coin IS a random drop at the moment. Mine dropped in Act 3 Cruel closer to completion (Aggorat), when I was already in the *past. P.S. If the coin with 3 floors hasn't dropped, there is also another coin that fits into the altar in the Trial of Chaos (istead of Trial of Sekhemas), this coin should have 7 stages to get your 3rd ascendancy — you receive one guaranteed in Aggorat (Act 6). It is either this coin with 7 stages or Sekhemas coin with 3 floors that gets you your 5 and 6 ascendancy points. P.P.S. This system is absolutely broken, unintuitive and misleading. |

" This doesn't finish the quest. All this does is give you ascendancy, quest will still be unfinished. Also it's not 7 stages in ultimatum to get 3rd ascendancy - it's 10 stages. 7 stages is to get 1st ascendancy if you didn't get it with trial of sekhema (4 stages to get 2nd - yes, it's that stupid). 10 stages is what you need to get 3rd ascendancy and to get 4th you need to do 10 stages 3 times and then kill Trialmaster. |
