Totembringer: Campaign to endgame - Huge AOE & 430K+ Boss DPS - (2H + Shield | 2H + 2h)

I’m currently using your build, and I really like it so far. I have two questions, though:

1. When will I know that it’s safe to ditch Hrimnor’s Hymn for something better?
2. Is your current linked gear up to date?

I ditched mine pretty late, like in the 70s when I had more access to passive nodes. I think what makes Hrimmor feel nice is that it helps you control your resource costs through the campaign. You can upgrade / downgrade your +to melee skills main hand to help keep your damage ahead of the content while getting nice damage boost from Hrimmor which doesn't also increase your resource costs.

My current linked gear is very out of date, been a little busy but will update it soon. I'm currently level 86 and face rolling tower buffed t15s pretty easily with honestly really basic gear. All of it I got for an exalt or 2, or found and made myself. My most expensive item was my amulet with +3 to melee skills which I paid like 10 exalts for, then triple slammed caster mods on >_<. I just focus on the mods in the build along with balancing my resistances.

Trials are really rough, you just have to play and new Djin's / trial masters items will drop. (They can drop anywhere, in maps, in world, its random, not my favorite mechanic for something as important as ascendancy but that's how it is). Alternatively you can trade for them, they are pretty cheap.

I posted an update on my build with my solution to the same problem. Basically I'm just using a 2H + Shield with double 2H on weapon swap for when you actually need the damage. Since shockwave totem snapshots +to all melee skills you can drop your shockwave totems then swap back to shield for safety during boss fights.

I'm just wondering if:

a) the passives on your thread have been updated to reflect your latest build with shield..if not can you please link
b) what type of shield are using?
c) how are you getting to 3500 hp
d) are you investing into passive block/block% nodes why and why not?

I'm also doing 15+ maps and ya I find getting 1/2 shot can happen on any map t12+ if you are not focused. The gameplay for dual wield is quite erratic requires lots of focus..shield build seems cool!

c) I think stacking max life and strength on all my gear helps a ton to hit this number, considering the tree gives us no help at all otherwise.

d) I tried removing my little ancestral warriors for block chance, it feels a little better, but I'm just not dying or struggling too much and I'm pretty good with using my raise shield so passive blocking isn't a big deal. Since you drop totems for damage you can then raise your shield and just kind of wait for totems to do their thing if you need to.

Maybe elemental ailment resist would be good, we have a lot of access to stun resist.
