PS5 Game Performance is just awful and unplayable
Just commenting to keep this thread up so it grabs GGG's attention. PS5 performance leaves a lot to be desired. No FPS counter in game so hard to tell how much the fps drop but it surely is visible. Not to mention the game looks so much worse on PS5 compared to PC. Even with no upscaling option and 4K resolution the game looks grainy and pixelated. There is no reason for it to be that way. PS5 certainly isn't as powerful as top tier PCs, but still, Diablo 4 runs perefectly smoothly on PS5 with good graphics and tons of effects and mobs on the screen. It only shows how badly PoE2 is optimized for PS5. I doubt that one patch will fix it and there is a lot of work to be done. I just hope they don't treat the PS5 version of the game as an easy way to get more players and will make the experience as good as for PC players who can play a fluid, performant and beautiful game even with below average PC specs.

Please give us vsync option to fix the screen tearing... That is driving me nuts.

" Literally, you can buy PC with a budget of Ps5 Pro, that will maintain great performance with 1440p on low settings. Graphics will be not worse than on PS5, but FPS will be stable 90-100 with drops to 60-70. |

Friends, I think we should create a new post and try to get a response from GGG on it. That way, it will reassure us, and we can avoid repeating ourselves too much because it’s frustrating to feel like we aren’t being heard. GGG, we would really like a response from you. Please don’t leave us in silence.
Let me know if you want any further tweaks! |

This is my main issue with the game.
I actually choose my class based on effects rather then playstyle. Same with picking hideout to battle what seems to be a memleak after a few hours of playing around other players. Also no reason to buy any good cosmetics as they will just decrease my performance. If the game does not run smoothly it makes it much harder to put more hours into it. Also why do I have to get off my couch, walk up to the TV just to see my resistances cause the font is so small? I am even OK without lootfilter in high end maps for now even tho thats also an issue that increases with the very tiny font. +Great trading system, inclusive for PS5 players. | |
No mentions of performance in latest notes so we will not get any improvements in december since they will be on break too, so maybe maybe in january or later xd

I have some issues the past two days. The stuttering and freezing every 2 seconds is annoying and making the game almost unplayable. It's not me the game was running fine the first few days with no issues.
The dreadnaught is the dumbest place i have been in poe 2 so far. Enemies using raise shiled constatly while using a spear at 10 attacks per second. Oh you'd think hey just dodge roll to get behind them, nope dodge roll is so clunkly and slow they spin and stating stabing before i even finish. Enemies are mostly so fast it makes the didge roll almost useless. I have spent 60% of the game just dodge rolling. Boss fights are just a billion dodge rolls then attack once then baxk to didge rolling again. This is for my warrior at least. The stash boxes in the trials and inbetween the creadnaught and act 3 you cant hit triangle to auto put stuff in the stash. Triangle just drops it on the ground. Very annoying. Much like poe 1 it has great potential but just falls short. The game feels like a worse version of poe 1. Gear drops are just horrible. I'm playing a warrior and almost in act 3 and all the rare gear i get dropped is useless for my class. 9 rare crossbows, would have been nice while I was playing my merc, who never got a crossbow drop. RS, Ev gear every where again that'd be nice if I wasn't a armor character. Just feels so bad being the slowest thing in the game even with movement speed boots. |

It's just crazy how bad this runs on a PS5. Like how? I'm surprised it was even released in this state
If I have to guess as to why I'm pretty sure it has to do with the particle engine because as soon as too many spells go off the fps just tanks. That shit was really heavy in POE 1 too but here every spell has some sort of particle physics so the engine just tanks completely Ninja.
