How do you get spirit? 60 on chest? or do you use Sceptre?

I did change the recoup on mana to an ingenuity and noticed no changes in my mana sustain so its probably fine

Is Prism of Belief bugged? I bought a +3 fireball one and while it says the level of the fireball skill increased on the gem skill window, the DPS didn't change and the amount of mana used per cast didn't change.

Edit: nevermind, I had to relog to see it change. Strange.

I wonder... do we actually need mana recoup? I feel like if we can free up the slot on the belt for way more mana, or more res, or even ingenuity once one has the currency for it, it would help the build a ton if we can source our mana elsewhere


It's more of a defensive tool than anything, it's very useful in some situations and useless in others.

Personally I think it's a better belt than a random rare, but you definitely want Ingenuity when you can get it.

That's a great improvement; it's not good to have to go to google/reddit to figure out how to search for basic items.

Thought it was expensive too at 4-6 divine until I compared to +3 spark jewels... 300 divines for that one lol

Thanks for the tip about that jewel, I scooped one up for 4 divine and it's a huge DPS upgrade even with having to adjust my skill tree to get mana-stable.

My partner is playing Spark mage and was jelly that +3 fireball cost so much less than +3 spark, lol, we'll never afford the spark one.

The core mid-to-early-endgame mechanics are unchanged. This is because the build doesn't rely on cast on freeze to do damage. The blueflame bracers will convert all your fireball fire damage to cold damage, thus freezing enemies. But, by the time you run archmage, most of your damage will be lightning damage. I would guess most of the players using a version of this build at level 90+ endgame are running cast on shock because of archmage.

I do wonder if cast on shock comet is better than cast on shock lightning conduit. It probably depends on if you specced into magnitude of shock?
